When I was asked for a mood board to create a brand image, I tapped into my dream state and came up with this story. This story basically sums up Anna.Parāna's brand vibration. ❤️
Besides, the brand name Anna.Parāna / अन्न.पराण draws inspiration from vedic culture. In the vedic terms, the material, the physical seath of our existence is called Annamaya Kosh–our body, our manifested reality. But our reality is Beyonce and physical. Behind the Annamaya kosha lies Prānamaya Kosh, or the seath of our breath, our vital force.
Annamaya literally means food body—made by the food we consume.
Prānamaya means life force. Prāna literally means breath. We breathe in life and breathe out life—our breath itself is the most profound symbol of coexistence with nature.
Anna (अन्न) and Prāna (प्राण) from Annamaya and Prānamaya combine to form Anna.Parāna (I have deliberately chosen Parāna (पराण) over Prāna because Parāna is also used to address a loved one in Nepali language. And Anna.Parāna is a project born out of my deep love for the idea after all.

Grandmothers carry a lifetime of stories, daily rituals, and memories passed down quietly. This mural started by listening to their lives and translating their essence into design. It became even more alive when the youth added their own stories of their grandmothers onto the figures, creating a shared, intergenerational tapestry of resilience, love, and connection.
