Got so much music lined up that I thought it might be worth doing a preview mix. Apologies in advance for the self-centred nature of the mix, I don’t really like to play just my stuff.
Two release coming very soon - NATION 001 out March 6th. TWILIGHT 007 out March / April.

Sounds Of Life - A Spice Of Jazz [Certificate 18]
Pure bliss on Certificate 18 from Rupert and Jim, two absolute legends. One to get lost in on a Sunday.
Dee Jay spotlight 4/7
Atlas - Drifting Thru The Galaxy [Dee Jay]
Didn't realise until pretty recently that this is Orca alongside Justin AKA Slipmaster J. Absolutely dreamy atmospheric stuff, very much along the lines of the signature Dee Jay / Lucky Spin sound from this era.
MA2 - Rollers Music [Formation]
Mad to think that this was the a-side when Hearing Is Believing is the only one you hear from this and the remix release these days. This is a wicked track though. Hard kinda forgotten all about it until recently.
Dee Jay spotlight 3/7
Ed Rush - Check Me Out [Dee Jay]
Nearly included this one in the Ed Rush spotlight but it didn't quite make the cut. Both sides of this release are total badness in very different ways. Wicked '96 release and another that I always forget about being part of the Dee Jay back catalogue.

Dee Jay spotlight 2/7
Slipmaster J - Symphonic [Dee Jay]
Early hardcore stuff here from Slipmaster J aka Justin Cohen, owner of Dee Jay and associated labels. Only just realised that this had an earlier release on Lucky Spin in 92 before this three tracker came out in 93.
Lennie De Ice - Leroy [Do Or Die]
Mad samples, never did work out where they came from or why he was going the other way. Wicked frenetic beats in typical Lennie style. U Ask For It on the flip is an absolute bullet of a tune
Classic label that put out a big range of sounds. Starting very hardcore and then becoming closely tied with the intelligent / atmospheric sound. Much of the output of the label was influenced by Pete Parsons who engineered loads of the releases.
I've tried to include a range of producers and sounds here across the years the label put releases out. So many classics to choose from, it was really hard to get it down to 7. I'm sure I've left out plenty of favs.

Engineers Without Fears - Spiritual Aura [Dee Jay]
Let's get this one out of the way first. Massive tune and, weirdly, I always forget that it came out on Dee Jay. Rap and Aston with a huge anthem. Rhythm is wicked too, pretty sure I posted it as part of the Rap spotlight a while back.
