Losing her is a loss so deep, but the gift of having her in my life, greater still. My Aunt Pat. She always told me she didn’t want a funeral, she wanted a party with a picture of her where she looked fabulous. She was cool. She loved being cool. Here she is, very cool, at one of my parties, looking fabulous. Anyone who knows me deeply knows how much this woman shaped my life. ALL my friends LOVED Aunt Pat. She was my champion and advocate at every moment and all of her friends got sick of hearing about me! She was the artist who inspired me. She was the person who launched my entire life’s work as an actor. She inspired my whole life. A second mother to me. I miss her desperately already. I hope she knew how much I love her. Forever.

My favorite way to decompress is working in my yard. Today I’m removing 3 sages that were too big for the space (replacing them in another section and hope they survive) and pruning all the other shrubs that were getting smothered by them.
