Had a wonderful time writing the vocal arrangement for AR Rahman's newest song "Kya Kamaal Hai" from the movie "Main Wapas Aaunga", directed by Imtiaz Ali.
Here's an acapella arrangement i wrote of Kya Kamaal Hai with phrases in different languages, written as a choral/barbershop style tag. Each of my faces has a number corresponding to the vocal part you can see in each image! Hope yall dig it! (please excuse my misspelling of Kamaal and a couple of number typos).

In 2004 my life changed when I was a junior in high school and i attended a Vocal Majority rehearsal, under the direction of Jim Clancy. I was an aspiring 17 year-old arranger/conductor and i ended up meeting the GOAT. At the time i was fortunate to be recruited by some of the best music schools in the US, but would opt to stay in North Texas to be a part of the group and sing for Jim. After 10 years of picking his brain, 400+ rehearsals, and almost a hundred concerts, i made the journey to India in 2014. Everything i gathered in during those 10 years i still apply today. Forever grateful to have known one of the best humans to ever exist.

What an amazing moment to finally meet and hang with one of my idols, @andersedenroth and his lovely wife. Anders was one of the founding members of one of the greatest vocal groups of all time, The Real Group @therealgroupofficial . He sang with them for over 30 years and was one of the primary arrangers of the group as well. He has been one of the biggest influences for me as a vocal arranger when I first started writing arrangements 20 years ago.
