Words cannot describe how utterly amazing this last week has been. So many new friends, old friends, new old friends and total f%*king legends made it what it was. Thank you from the bottom of my heart all those that made it what it was. I love you, I love, I love you, a thousand times I love you 🫶🏼💋❤️#glastonbury #glastonbury2024 #partofmeforever
I love shooting with Charlie, every single time, because he’s one of the most interesting people I’ve met in London, and also one of the most genuine. He also came so prepared, with a wardrobe full of clothes and accessories in tow, and ready to give his all! And I’m so impressed by the depth of his personality and acting ability, you can really feel his presence in these photos!
I’ll be honest though, neither of us was in the best of moods when we did this shoot. So we both essentially did our best, trying things out and iterating when we hit creative bedrock. We were both tired, and it was my second shoot of the day, which is quite demanding for the way I do my shoots. It takes a lot of energy to connect with someone and get them to open up, and I sometimes feel exhausted afterwards; not because the person was exhausting in any way, just because I put so much of myself into the shoot, into providing that safety and inspiration and bringing my own authenticity to inspire theirs.
I absolutely must thank @oliver.shellhouse for joining me on this shoot and for bringing a few super interesting concepts, the main of which is the cover image for this post, and it’s such a striking look!
I stupidly should have posted this so much earlier today all things considered 🤦🏼♂️, but a huge shout out to the exemplary human Toby Osmond for standing in his local borough of Enfield, as an independent candidate in the local elections. Proud and privileged to know does not cover it. I spent some time this morning pointing undecided voters in his direction, and no matter who they may have turned up to vote for, so many people said they were impressed that he was the first candidate in years to show up and represent their party. Fingers crossed for you tonight my friend 🤞🏻 And as Tobes would say “Down with the bourgeoisie!”
Callback to that magical time I was on the road with the wonderful human being that is Jay ‘Crazy Horses’ Osmond. I actually got to watch him perform his iconic track, and was fortunate enough to be guided and nurtured by him whilst having the distinct privilege of playing his father George, the patriarch of the Osmond Clan, FOUR years ago now. So very grateful and fortunate to have spent time with this humble man and Karen, his rock of a wife 🫶🏻
