Film in my Bio.
I booked Knaaas to perform at a rave we made 10 years ago and I am so happy he just dived into this project! We talked about the theme for the expo and the idea of rearranging ideas and in general the way this society is going. To be bold and disruptive, to show fire and fight, despair and hope. We thought about everyday life and our children - Repetition, glitches and intensity, tears and laughs - he went right in.. We created it also inspired by the artists in the room, Feddy was into the word Sluta (Stop) created on the windows by Sara Kallioinen Lundgren and the idea of the hard working mother as the ultimate hero from one of the artworks by Erik Amsell and me. It was an ongoing process we also got Pernilla - Purple Rinse - the link between us all those years ago to send a new piece of art to wear.
Let’s make more and never give in for this oppressing society with leaders feeding and living only off and by hate.

Paradise In Trouble is a group exhibition focusing on the idea of wanting to change, to start new thought processes and to progressively move forward by raising questions. Cultural politics are against us artists in Sweden, we need to create, we need spaces that contribute to a sense of belonging within the Swedish context with a global mindset. The starting point is from the art movements of the 70s such as CADA, a group that made timeless work without being invited to institutions, because politics did not allow it. Now we find ourselves in a secularized time once again, where fascism and racism is normalised and the importance of creating as a form of resistance when we need to rearrange and reset is growing.
CADA (Colectivo Acciones de Arte) was a Chilean interdisciplinary art collective founded in 1979 that used public interventions, language, and mass media as artistic strategies to challenge censorship and political repression during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet.
Thanks to Folkets Hus och Parker and Ayman Osman for inviting me to produce this space and thank you all artists for this, see you next saturday.
