You are full—full of more than just action. Your thoughts consume your entire being when you stand alone in that corner. You wanted to dance, yet here you are, witnessing all others dancing and dancing to what you always dreamed of.
You wish you had what they had and only your desire, your greed to be them shows you that it’d be worthy of your time. You are not worthy. You are not grand. You stand atop a pile of ash that once was you and all you hoped for. You are no shining beacon of hope when you let the soot cover your feet and you believe you cannot become unstuck.
However—however, your eyes glisten with the same color as the moon. A full moon is what you really are and once upon a time, I remember seeing your shine when you truly loved the subject that engulfed your entire soul. Now, the subject is reality and you can’t seem to focus.
This reality is the one that does not forgive.
It doesn’t forget either and so, you feel like that’s it.
There’s nothing more, what else could there be?
Well, as I take off my dark mask, I reveal to you the true wonders of the universe. It ain’t hidden behind a statue of moss nor a portrait of gold, it’s right here—right now.
And as I look you deep in the eye while you remain stuck in your corner, I yell to you to get out. I scream your name for you to leave this newfound residence to go forwards and dance. I’m smiling as hard as I can because I just can’t help it. The music takes me away to better lands and the beat tells me to let go.
You, too, must let go of all that holds you back for you are supposed to be free. If you’re not free to dance, then you’re not free to go forwards and, Brother, we must go forwards.
Be open to the world for you have something to give. This art is not for anyone else except myself. Let the dissenters and the hateful fade away as my eyes glow stronger. Let them fall apart as you walk t’wards that damned setting sun. Make sure it’s worth it.
Make sure you’re worth it all and be open.
There is no heading back.
There is only forward.
