Last reel of the year, and back to the happiest party of 2025 - @disco_bambino at @_ladbrokehall
There were many others though…
Farewell 2025. You were fun but I’m done with you!
#Eurythmics were the first band I ever saw live. As a teenager, that night in Padova made London feel like the centre of the universe - and part of why I had to be here.
Hearing @officialannielennox at the V&A brought it all rushing back: her stories of a London that’s gone, her fierce choice to invent herself, make the most of intention and serendipity, her power on stage and off.
An idol then, an icon now.
A bit of Frank Lloyd Wright in East London? Yep, courtesy of V&A East.
This 1930s office was designed for Mr Kaufman, the owner of a Pittsburgh department store, and it’s the only complete FLW’s interior on display outside the USA.
First visit to V&A East Storehouse and… wow.
You walk through the archives, watch conservators at work in a building that feels raw and open. Fashion, furniture, theatre props, tech… it’s all here, side by side.
Feels less like a museum, more like a living library of design. #obsessed already.
Life is not just holiday, so here’s me back to London and straight into design mode with a private tour of the London Design Biennale at Somerset House, with a welcome from director Victoria Broackes. Good design, excellent company, and maybe a gin (or two). File under ‘research’.
