We went to Holbox specifically to do some tarpon fishing. Neither of us had fly fished on the ocean before and it was a learning curve compared to the fly fishing out here… but it was a lot of fun. We fished in crystal clear water in the mangroves and on the flats of the ocean, saw crocodiles, stingrays and flamingos, and we caught some tarpon. It was an adventure- exactly what we wanted. ☺️ #tarponfishing #holbox

Early mornings in Jasper, especially around this time of year, are always so quiet and peaceful. On this morning in particular, we had the whole lake to ourselves. ☀️ #jaspernationalpark #jasperalberta #myjasper #sunrise

When the world feels hectic or I’m stressed, I am grateful to have places like these to escape to. Have you been Sunwapta Falls in winter? You often have this spot all to yourself 😌 #jaspernationalpark #jasperalberta #myjasper #explorecanada

An old burn, softened by fresh snow. The kind of silence you can actually feel. Places like this remind me that forests have chapters too. ❄️ #jaspernationalpark #jasperalberta #myjasper

Worth the post-hole hike for this view 🙌 This may be one of my favourite images captured this winter and I’m excited to see how it prints (I’m honestly ready to blow this one up large!) If it looks good, you’ll likely see it in my upcoming print sales. #jaspernationalpark #jasperalberta #myjasper #winterhiking

We went out on a mission this morning to capture the sunrise. The elk showing up were a bonus. 🦌✨ Just another beautiful moment in Jasper. #jaspernationalpark #myjasper #travelalberta #jasperalberta

Good people, stunning places and campfire vibes. What more do you need? 🏕️ PS. This was NOT in a National Park and there were no fire bans. Remember to soak and stir your campfires (3x) when you’re done! 😊💦 #campinglife #alberta

I’ve had a few people asking about where I’ve been lately and noticed my posting slow down. Nothing to worry about here! I’ve been busy in my photography business here in Jasper and turned most of my attention/care to my clients and their photos. Now that I’m going into the slower winter season you’ll see me around more often, I promise. I’m still exploring my home in Jasper, getting out fishing and taking fun photos… but honestly- sometimes it’s nice to just have some moments for myself anyway. ☺️ I’ll be heading to Holbox, Mexico soon to do some fishing and enjoy a sunny vacation. If you have been there and have any tips/insights for me, feel free to share. Looking forward to reconnecting to this great little online community once again. Cheers! I was only able to head out for a bit on this evening, but even catching a more chill Aurora sky was still beautiful. I’m grateful that views like these are literally in my “backyard”, just a few minutes from home. 💜 #aurora #auroraborealis #worldaurora #auroraborealisnotifications #myjasper
