These are backstage pictures from our very first show with DIETH — a truly special night in Berlin, sharing the stage with Testament and Voivod. At that time, I was at a crossroads in life… honestly thought I was done on so many levels, including music. It came right after a big life storm, and I was lucky enough to find myself surrounded by amazing friends and this killer band.
As always, Maciej managed to capture more than just a photo — he caught a feeling, a sensation. I still remember walking off that stage after two years away… somewhere between being euphoric, humbled, and with tears in my eyes.
After the gig, I cracked open a beer — and when I heard that sssschllaaaannnfff from the bottle, I thought, “I’m back. I belong here.” 😄🍻
That night I also met some old-time friends who felt like they were meant to be there — like Sebastian and Tine. And I want to send a special message to Anders, the one who kept me grounded and helped me stand back on my feet again. I can never find enough words to thank him.
Sometimes we go through years in life, and then comes a moment — those two hours between the gig and that beer — that make everything feel worth it. Maybe that’s what life is about, huh? Who knows...
