A moment for the stairs. Not quite leading to heaven, but they are nothing short of a masterpiece. 🏡 Project: Bellevue Hill

An elaborate renovation delivering openness, light and outdoor connections to this grand city terrace. Stretching across four levels, the sense of luxury comes as much from the feeling of space as the impeccable quality of the finishes. 🏡 Project: Darlinghurst

It's that time of year where the weather is warming up. Is your outdoor space your oasis or does it need a revamp? Can definitely see myself lounging by this pool, cold drink in hand! Swipe for a bit of inspo! 🏡 Project: Exeter

Who doesn’t love a good feature light? There are so many things to consider when creating a lighting plan for your home. What mood do you want to create in each space? How will each space be used? Does the space get a flow of natural light? Before commencing your renovation or build, a few things you should consider doing: - Draft our your floor plan marking any immovable objects and drawing in your furniture placement - Note down how you want each space to function. Are you going to read or study in this space? Exercise? Eat? - Chose your locations that you want light on the plan - this ensures you’re not going to miss any dark spots - Mark our locations for sockets and switches - where will you turn each light on and off? Are you going to consider dimmers? - Pick your lights! Pendants, recessed - so many options to consider, but ensure you think about how much light you need for the space to function as it should! Lastly, always ensure you hire a qualified electrician that knows what they are doing - they’ll be able to advise you on what will work best. Shout out to the GOAT electrician - my mate Mick. 🏠 Project: Woollahra #mpbuildconstructions #lettherebelight #homerenovations #pendantlight

If you’d have told people in the 40’s probably even through to the 90’s that the kitchen would be the hub of the house these days - they would have thought us all crazy. Now? The kitchen is probably the space we all use the most - from homework or WFH on the island, hanging out with family and friends for a yarn or actually using the appliances to cook, it is a space that needs careful consideration when planning a build. No only does it need to be practical, but you also want a design that isn’t going to age in a decade. So what are a few things you should consider: * Lighting - dimmers are great for your overhead pendant lighting to control the ambience of the space * Close dishwasher and sink placement * The “triangle” theory - adequate layout and space between fridge, stove top and sink * Adequate powerpoints for all appliances and other things (chargers etc) * Bin location * Space between counters (make sure you can walk past your dishwasher with the door open and you can open the cupboard behind it whilst unpacking it) * Draws or cupboards for your crockery? What’s going to work best for you? * Coloured cupboards? How are they going to look in 15 years time. Is the colour still going to be on trend or is it going to age? Kitchens are expensive and you want to get it right first time around to save yourself dollars in the future. #mpbuildconstructions #kitchentips #modernkitchen #kitchendesign #kitcheninspo #kitchenisland

Because I’m all about them curves, bout them curves… Say goodbye to block-like Benchtops. A request quickly becoming very popular is curved features throughout the home. How do you feel about this trend? I’m all for it. Curves soften a room and bring art to the space so effortlessly. Think outside the box…you’ll have no trouble with the curve. 🏠 Project: Vaucluse #mpbuildconstructions #curvedbench #kitcheninspiration #whoscookingtonight
