The series originates from my studio, a space that boasts spectacular daily sunsets. These moments serve as the primary subject and emotional catalyst for the work.
To capture these fleeting atmospheric shifts, I use a screen-print monotype technique—a process defined by speed. Because I have to draw directly onto the mesh and pull the print before the ink dries and clogs the screen, the medium demands a rapid, decisive hand.
This urgency mirrors the "snapshot" nature of the original photographs; both the camera and the screen act as tools for freezing a phenomenon that is constantly in flux.
The resulting monotypes are timestamps of a specific place and time. Presented as postcards, they echo a simple sentiment: “Wish you were here.”

We are proud that our Peruvian manufacturing partner has obtained their Fair Trade Certification. It’s a long and arduous process that took years — we of course claim no credit for this achievement, but want to highlight the fantastic work that people in our circles are doing!
Hi everyone! It’s me, Marcia Patmos. For those of you that don’t know, I have a namesake shop, M.PATMOS on historic Atlantic Avenue in beautiful Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, where we sell our brand alongside a curation of jewelry, accessories and art. We also have an online store and wholesale to a selection of likeminded boutiques. Now that it’s finally Spring, I wanted to share some of my personal favorites from the new collection (you’ll be seeing me wearing them all season), as well as styling tips for an easy way to leave the house feeling fresh and put together. I am a fan of a lighter pant or skirt to lighten things up. High contrast colors are nice and graphic in a low key way. Tonal outfits always look put together and are great for days when you just want everything to be easy and feel cohesive. This mix is also a great way to think about packing your suitcase - everything matches! Don’t forget about adding a fun pop of color or a metallic accessory for a little lift.
Spring (and maybe Summer?) has officially sprung in Brooklyn. 🌸 (Did you know that we were recently recategorized as a “subtropical zone”? ) 🤍 The shop is bursting with newness to cover you in temperatures from 35 to 85 (no joke - this has been the last 5 days !) We are more in the mood for the 50’s-70’s, but have lots of layers to help deal with the other ends of the spectrum in fresh, uplifting, wearable colors. 🤍 The perfect mix for work, travel, weekends and events. We are happy to share some new Spring arrivals with you now that the seasons have shifted.
We love the movement of the hand dyed blue marble on the Bex Dress and Perry Shirt. The marble is what we call a no print print—it doesn’t have a distinct pattern, yet it creates visual interest. We are also offering the Tricia Shirt and Adelphi Belted Dress in a custom blue striped cotton fabric, hand woven by artisans in India. We work with a foundation that supports the preservation of handcrafted traditions and the empowerment of artisans to make all of our hand woven fabrics.
