The Money Game is finally coming out!!!! As a New Orleans native, LSU pride runs deeeeeep lol @harkmadley and I spent several months creating some crazy tracks for this score so check it out 9/10 on Prime!!!

It’s been a long yet great week having the opportunity to learn under the guidance of @oacademy.live . Such a pleasure to work with @oamericas and be an assistant for @carlosmiguelprieto_conductor along with @sheiladecuba and @eduardodelavegag as we helped with rehearsals and sectionals that lead to an amazing final concert with @yoyoma @kayhan_kalhor . What a way to start the bday month!

#FellowSpotlight ‘24 Conducting Fellow Malcolm Parson is active as a freelance musician, wearing many hats as a composer, conductor and perfomer! Follow along a day in his busy career, as he travels to NYC for a day full of music combining OAcademy’s online masterclasses with in-person rehearsals and performances. Malcolm Parson is best known for his work as a member of both Turtle Island Quartet and Carolina Chocolate Drops. Born in New Orleans, he moved to Atlanta at the age of 11 and began studying cello privately through Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s “Talent Development Program. He later earned his B.M in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music. Recently, as a member of Turtle Island Quartet, Parson became Grammy nominated for 2021 Best Instrumental Jazz Album for their work on Terence Blanchard’s album, “Absence” featuring E-Collective and Turtle Island Quartet.
