Currently on view Linda Soh Trengereid “Etterbilder” On until April 11 — Trengereid’s paintings serve as a reminder of both the intimacy and the distance we carry with us in our encounters with nature — or “Creation”, if we were inclined toward such language. In this way, each work becomes a painterly observation of the beauty right in front of us on one hand, and on the other, a door or a key to a different sensitivity toward nature and our existence as part of it. The perspective of the outsider, or a sense of “otherness”, contrasted with the experience of belonging to something greater, is a focal point of Trengereid’s work. There is something universal and recognizable in this. Yet, knowing the artist was born in Korea and adopted into Norway, a personal — if not biographical — narrative also forms the foundation. In this sense, Trengereid’s artistry is not only about our relationship with nature but also our self-understanding. Nature becomes a metaphor for the eternal human search for one’s place — most often in the light of others. — All enquiries [email protected] or dm — Video by @mpagiart @mpagiii — #hoyerstencontemporary #lindasohtrengereid #contemporaryart #artcollector

Half a year since the release. Still waking up in my own dream. Grateful for all the ups and downs, the challenges met and overcome - and those still to come. Grateful for the support of friends and family, and all the advice from the people i’ve met along the way. With intention, purpose, and temperance we keep movin’. Historia Facio. @mpagiart
