Today, I held a strategic engagement with key market leaders of the Onigbongbo market to deliberate on the current state of the marketβs infrastructure and chart a progressive path toward comprehensive upgrades.
The proposed infrastructure upgrade plans will prioritize structural rehabilitation, improved sanitation facilities, and the creation of a more conducive environment for traders and residents alike.

Today at the Scar2Shine Conference held at Radisson Blu, GRA, Ikeja, I delivered a compelling message to Nigerian youths, urging them to embrace active political participation beginning from the grassroots level.
True national progress can only be achieved when youths intentionally engage in local governance and decision-making processes.

Yesterday, I joined distinguished party faithful, political stakeholders, community leaders, and supporters at the Special Congregational Prayer organised by the Renewed Hope Network in honour of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, and the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat.
While also Leading Onigbongbo LCDA contingent to the event, held at the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos.

Today, I featured in a live interactive session on TVC Newsβ βThis Morningβ show, where I engaged in an insightful national conversation on the critical topic: βGrassroots Governance: Autonomy Vs State Control.β
During the live broadcast, I spoke extensively on the importance of strengthening local government administration as the closest tier of government to the people.
While I was discussing my administrationβs journey so far, I highlighted several achievements recorded since assuming office, including impactful infrastructural development, healthcare interventions, youth empowerment initiatives, community engagement programs, and strategic social welfare projects aimed at improving the lives of the people of Onigbongbo.

Last year, over 200 elderly residents in Onigbongbo LCDA were enrolled in the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme, ensuring that many of Onigbongbo LCDAβs senior citizens gained access to affordable and reliable healthcare.
Today, I hosted the maiden edition of the Onigbongbo LCDA Mega Health Outreach, offering comprehensive healthcare services to more than 500 residents in Onigbongbo LCDA.
A key highlight was an extensive health education session, during which medical professionals sensitized residents on chronic illnesses like hypertension and diabetes, stressing the importance of early detection, healthy living, and regular medical checkups.
The outreach also featured a dedicated eye care section where residents underwent basic eye screenings, received free reading glasses, and got medications for different eye-related issues.
Furthermore, a family planning unit was available, where healthcare professionals educated residents on reproductive health and provided information about various contraceptive methods accessible to the community.
As we step into a new month, I warmly welcome all the good people of Onigbongbo LCDA to the month of May.
Today, as we also celebrate Workersβ Day, I proudly salute the resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment of every worker, artisan, entrepreneur, civil servant, and hardworking resident whose daily efforts continue to build our community and strengthen our nation.

I embarked on an on-site inspection visit to the Onigbongbo Community Hall and Onigbongbo Market today. The inspection tour was conducted alongside my Council Engineer and my Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure.
During the visit to the Onigbongbo Community Hall, we conducted a comprehensive assessment of the facility ahead of its planned reconstruction.
We also proceeded to Onigbongbo Market, where we inspected the structural defects of the market, carefully examining critical areas requiring upgrades to enhance the trading environment for market men and women.
