In Moving Rasa, Community Agreements are not just written, they are alive in us and between us, textured the air and molded in our behaviors. We feel into them through our movement to discern what supports us and the group to shine from what does not and is called to be modified. Community Agreement #1 (see bio to link to others) This is a BIPOC-centered anti-racist, anti-apartheid, anti-genocide, and anti-occupation-practice space that calls for a Free Palestine. As an organization Moving Rasa supports People of Global Majority to have caring community in their resistance against colonialism, apartheid, occupation and genocide. We are committed to developing our analysis and embodied action. Thank you to the August participants of the AAPI Moving Rasa Retreat for Survivors of Sexual Assault for modifying the first c-agreement. We cannot in good conscience just do our work behind the scenes. At this time the Israeli occupying forces have expanded their US weapons backed takeover of Palestine to the West Bank. Sexual assaults and slaughter is the IDF norm. Moving Rasa demands an end to the genocide and the occupation. Stop the flow of weapons. Free Palestine! #movingrasa #freepalestine #communityagreements #anti-genocide

Moving Rasa is hosting its second annual Moving Rasa retreat for Southeast Asian Diaspora Men in New Hampshire on June 5–7. This is a space for embodiment, reflection, brotherhood, time in nature, shared meals, and a guided firearm safety session to explore what it means to relate to power and responsibility in a grounded way. This is an intimate group, and we have a few spots left. If this resonates, send me a message, and I’ll share more.

For many Southeast Asian diaspora men, spaces for connection, embodiment, and collective healing are rare. Andrew hosts a monthly Moving Rasa virtual gathering (4/9/26- Thursday 8:30-10p EST) where we explore practices that reconnect us with our bodies, reflect on identity and culture, and support one another in community. A small group of us will also be gathering in New Hampshire this early June for a deeper retreat experience. If you're a Southeast Asian diaspora man who feels curious about this kind of space, send me a message and we’ll share more. #SoutheastAsianDiaspora #AsianDiaspora #MensWork #Embodiment #Brotherhood

Our last Rasa Labs was pure magic ✨ We had the honor of welcoming Regie Cabico, who shared his deep love for poetry through playful, powerful activities that invited each of us into the art of expression. What unfolded in the room was connection, courage, laughter, and words we didn’t know were waiting inside us. We closed the afternoon gathered around a beautiful potluck, sharing food and reflections on the impact of Moving Rasa in our lives and community. Hearing everyone’s experiences reminded us why we do this work — to create spaces where creativity, healing, and belonging can flourish. It was a success and we look forward to future collaborations. Dm us if you would like to help sponsor or find aponsors to make the programming accessible for all, volunteer, or participate in future Rasa Labs offerings.

This season we’ve explored rasa across many mediums—movement, martial forms, tarot, ritual, and now poetry and shared food. Each week, something different emerged, and, each time, our connection to Rasa deepened in distinct and powerful ways. This Sunday, Regie Cabico is coming from DC to share his amazing creative writing process with us. Come experience how wordplay and moving rasa can weave together into personal beats. And we’re bringing poetry and potluck together! This community gathering is free, a fundraiser for Moving Rasa-- donation based. Join us 2-5P @Prime Produce (424w54th st, nyc) dm us to let us know you are coming!

Last Sunday we explored Design Playgrounds for Future Ancestors with Kimberly Tate. We journeyed into our childhoods with an assortment of milk crates, batik clothes, and art supplies as we considered what types of playgrounds we might want to design. Just three more Sundays left! Join us through the link in our bio!

Such a fun, collective workshop with Jacob Dominguez and Moving Rasa. We explored improvisation inspired by Silat. Silat is an Indonesian Martial arts, developed before but also in resistance to the Dutch colonizers. We used Moving Rasa to help us to bring its lessons into relevance in our everyday lives. We focused on our experiences of Mobilizing or moving our centers. We asked, "What do the various blocks, punches and steps in Silat teach us about no and yes in our relationships to others and how we experience intentions such as love, understanding, and joy?" There was so much amazing sharing and learning! In our next Rasa Lab with Chef Miranti! Our focus will be to hone our experience of taste through indonesian spices and food. Then we will carry this into our other experience and movement with our sensations in life. Curious? Go to our bio for the link to learn more about Rasa Labs or look for the IG story on Chef Miranti with a direct link to her eventbrite. A Virtual Rasa Lab Orientation is also happening this Wednesday if you first want to learn more in the comfort of your home. Dm ua if you are interested. #RasaLabs

What is Rasa? This is an Introduction class for a Zoom class that I will be teaching. I decided to launch it here to share it more broadly. Connection to authenticity is found in our consensual movement relationship with all things, not in a silo. #MovingRasa
