A new song I'm working on πŸ€ͺ ➑️ Follow the link in my bio for my @franklinmethod Pelvic Power workshop THIS Saturday, November 2nd (in person AND virtual). The three dimensional, dynamic pelvis is so seriously important to how we move, how we feel and we breathe. But also, it's important to have fun πŸ€— PS maybe the imagery in this song will give you an earworm that you'll never forget πŸ˜‰ when you squat and walk! #pelvicfloorexercises #pelvis #pelvicfloor #embodiedanatomy #anatomyforyogis #yogaanatomy #massagetherapy #functionalanatomy #mentalimagery

Just some ponderings in the Spring rain. What matters to you most about understanding anatomy? I'll need to study and learn this stuff forever...not only because there's so much to learn, but because every body is so unbelievably different and requires a practice of complete presence...and that lesson never gets old. We're still taking sign-ups for our Dissection and Embodiment Lab in October! -----> link in bio <------ 6 days of hands on cadaver dissection with embodiment exercises to help you experience the utmost presence while integrating what you learn in the lab. For me, it's the embodiment that helps me 'remember,' even when the names slip my mind... Join us!

Our talented @gordon.kristin making music for @the.mural.film ...here we are recording the song I wrote for the end of the movie. And wait until you hear all the score she's creating from her very skilled, sensitive and courageous heart. I'm afraid to tell the world about her because you filmmakers are going to want to scoop her up and then she'll get too busy. She's too good. Post Production is SO fun. Seeing how music and editing are finely carving out the story is like the decorating of a cake. The cake is already great, but you REALLY wanna eat it because of it's beauty. Thanks to the Post Production crew, you're going to REALLY want to eat this film! β™‘β™‘β™‘β™‘β™‘

We're in a bit of a bone mood over here because that's the focus of this Sunday's portion of our @embody_u Dissection and Embodiment Miniseries. I've taken so many anatomy classes where you just try to memorize names and definitions, but never get to use the information. Thank goodness for the embodiment practices we have learned in @franklinmethod ...to be able to take what we see in the lab and apply it into something useful, kind and functional for the body. I've been holding weights above my head and picturing the weight like water pouring through the strong bodies of the vertebrae. I have a clear picture of this...not just from plastic models I play with, or from the anatomy apps, but from the lab. I have touched the strength of those bones. I have slid my hand against them and can imagine a similar curve in my own body. THIS is why we do this work. To move better. To see our clients better. To become more present and connected. Join us in our Miniseries or in person in our lab. And then hold a weight over your head and I promise it'll be the most amazing thing. Such a world to explore! Link in bio β™‘

When you only have two days to fly across the country to Florida to see your Argentinian family who is visiting the states, and you have the chance to be there when your brother and niece meet them for the first time, GO! When I was planning this, one part of my brain was saying, it's too much money and not enough time to be worth it to go. I could've easily not gone. But, wow, what I would've missed. Feeling so thankful for the other part of my brain that told me, you canNOT miss this. And feeling lucky to have gotten to have two full days with my wonderful family πŸ’•

Fun with anatomical imagery via the lats and serratus! We see this junction often in our labs and whenever we do, I can't wait to embody it. Maybe if we swam and swung more we would feel more free here, but unless you're swinging from a tree while reading this, try out this exercise and see if it makes an upgrade in your back. Join us in our dissection lab this October if you want to see imagery like this in 3D and in person! Link in bio @embody_u Have fun with your silky, slidey lats πŸ˜‰

Muscles are made to move us. Strengthen the pelvic floor by making sure those muscles are actually moving...this is where anatomical imagery can be so useful. It's not a good pelvic floor exercise if something else is stealing the show. AND we can also make sure we aren't spending a whole bunch of time in positions that put unfair pressure on specific areas (like slumped back in a chair or standing with your hips trusted forward). Let's live in ranges that allow for movement possibilities! 🎈🎈More in my hip and pelvic floor workshop🎈🎈🎈 This Sunday, April 12th. In-person, virtual and replays! Link in bio or @thebhaktiyogamovementcenter or DM me. Come experience more Franklin Method and anatomical imagery! πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸŽ‰

Blending @franklinmethod , yoga, and what I've learned in the dissection lab, on 4/12 we'll take a deep dive into ideas that go beyond exercises for the pelvis. In person @thebhaktiyogamovementcenter and virtual/in replays. Learn how to really make a change. Squeezeless strength... Fun right? πŸ’“ Link in bio to join. Do a few shape changeable squats now and see if it doesn't improve your day πŸ˜‰

Back from Colorado with my heart full. So thankful to have had time with family, friends and profound insights in the lab with @gilhedley Lots of "home" feels this week and it makes me think of how, even though I love the actual walls I live in, the feeling of home is everywhere. I treasure any time I get to have with those I love. PS see if you can find the sneaky peek of a surprise tire accessory in one of the photos πŸ€ͺ ❀️

Whenever I need a little happiness boost I can look on these photos and remember the fun... the connections ...and the deep dive we took into understanding the movement of the pelvis. What an honor it was to be able to teach such an amazing group β™‘ Can't wait to go back! I'm teaching a 4 hour workshop on the pelvis for anyone interested in a similar deep dive! Link in bio! April 12th virtual and in person @thebhaktiyogamovementcenter
