🌈 ARCO Post-screening Family Creative Workshop To celebrate the powerful message about creativity as a vital tool for imagining better, more hopeful future, we‘re hosting a post-screening creative workshop led by West Midlands-based artist and designer Frances Yeung, following our special preview screening of ARCO. We especially encourage families and children to join us but the workshop is open to anyone who wants to unleash their creativity, and no previous art experience is required. ⏰ Time: Saturday March 14th @ 1:15pm 📍 Location: @alfred_works Please note: workshop tickets are FREE & separate from screening tickets, so please make sure to book both if you‘d like to attend the film and the workshop! @itsyikki is a West Midlands-based designer, artist, researcher and community advocate. She’s currently exploring through her PhD: what does decolonial socially engaged art practice look like? Her intervention in the Northamptonshire Black History Archive with community is grounded in decolonial feminist care ethics. As an independent artist, Frances‘ work is multidisciplinary, ranging from installations to animations, often with the aim to shine spotlights on marginalised communities, through the themes around identities and belongings. ✨ Come create, imagine and explore together after the film!

Our ARCO screening is now less than a week away, and we've still got some exciting announcements to share! First up: to celebrate the incredible animation talent within our own BESEA community, we're thrilled to announce that we'll be screening a very special (and delightfully quacky) short ahead of our ARCO community previews in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Liverpool. Introducing ALL HAIL THE DUCK KING by the incredibly talented Tommy Howlett! 🦆👑 Tommy Howlett is a director and animator based in Bristol, UK. He graduated from the National Film & Television School with his film 'All Hail the Duck King', a story about both the frustrations and the childhood joys of being an artist. Tommy runs Kwak Studios, where all his silly ducks now live, and continues to work as a freelance director and animator. Be sure to check out Tommy's work at @kwak_studios , and we can't wait to share his short with all of you this Saturday, March 14! 🎟️Limited tickets to our London, Birmingham, Edinburgh & Liverpool screenings and creative workshops are still available.🎟️ Please make sure to book tickets for both the film screening and the creative workshop separately, and reserve your spots now using the links in our bio! And don't forget, ARCO arrives in cinemas across the UK on March 20!
