Grateful to have been included in such a beautiful evening with Modern Luxury Dallas and MILLY at the Nasher Sculpture Center. It was truly breathtaking from start to finish. The designs from MILLY were absolutely incredible, and every detail felt like a celebration of creativity, fashion, and style. A fabulous way to welcome spring while supporting so many inspiring businesses and creatives. Thank you to Dr. Mark and Cary Deuber for hosting such a stunning event, and to everyone who made the night so special. ✨ #dallasarts #nashersculpturecenter #modluxdallas #artandfashion #artsyscoop

A few weeks before we lost my mom, we also said goodbye to our sweet dog, Maisey, which has made this season especially tender. This weekend we’ll be traveling to Louisiana for my mom’s funeral and I’m looking forward to being with family, sharing stories, and visiting some of her favorite places in New Orleans to honor her spirit. In the midst of it all, we also celebrated one year of Artsy Scoop in print, a milestone that means so much to me. Life lately has been a mix of grief and gratitude, and I’m learning to hold space for both 🤍

Last weekend we honored our mom and laid her to rest. The services were as wonderful as we could have hoped, and it meant so much to be surrounded by so many friends and family who showed up with love and support. We’ve shared stories, laughter, and a lot of food… just the way she would have loved. I know she would have been so happy with how everything came together. She was given a truly special farewell, including a touching police escort to the cemetery, where she is now laid to rest beside our dad. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the day so meaningful and full of love 🤍

🕊️ Linda Gail Carré Mouton July 9, 1940 – February 8, 2026 💐 I received these beautiful flowers today and don’t know who sent them. If this was you, please let me know. Your kindness brought a much-needed smile to my face. Thank you! My mom passed peacefully on Sunday, and somehow she waited until my brother and I arrived. I told her I loved her, hugged her, and she took her last breath. It was a beautiful moment. These past few months on hospice gave us some extra time together and I’ll always be grateful for that. My mom wasn’t big on compliments, but she did tell me she loved me very much and that she liked my haircut and said it looked “so much better” 😊 She didn’t like when I had long hair. She was always so stylish and chic, and true to form, a few weeks ago she joked that when she goes, “you’ll finally have an amazing wardrobe with some beautiful pieces.” We laughed about that. She was quite the fashionista. 💍 The wedding photo portrait of her was on the cover of the newspaper “Society“ page and I always adored that picture. She loved Las Vegas and going to the casino. This past July, before her health declined, we were able to take her to WinStar for her birthday 🎲. She had all-you-can-eat crab legs (her absolute favorite) and got to play some slot machines. It was such a special memory for our whole family, and I’m so thankful we were able to give her that day. This is a family tradition (crab legs & casinos). On my 21st birthday, she waited with me at midnight outside the casino doors so we could finally go play slots together 🤍 We’ll have to take another trip just for her. 🎶 At one of the Elvis Presley shows in Las Vegas, he kissed my mom on the cheek. She was so happy and absolutely loved him and his music. She’ll be laid to rest with my dad in Louisiana next month. It’s been an emotional time, and I’m so thankful to have my brothers, Stephen & Timothy to process this with. 💝 She was beautiful. I loved her very much
