@kiliankorth and
@cody_poskin have been executing a race plan a year in the making. Both had unfinished business with the Cocodona 250, and both had a singular goal in mind: to find themselves on top of the podium.
The pair pushed each other – and themselves – the whole way, and while they come away as first and second placed male, neither could hold a light to overall winner and new course record holder Rachel Entrekin who dominated the race. Entrekin’s result will be spoken about for years to come, and no doubt go down alongside such milestones like Roger Bannister’s sub-4 minute mile, which fittingly, took place on this day 72 years ago.
Though they both had different approaches, Kilian and Cody left everything out there, with Kilian driving from the front right away, versus Cody biding his time in a game of cat and mouse. The result is that they have taken the top two steps of the male podium, well under the old record.
