Today we’re celebrating the compassion, care and dedication of our Mountbatten Isle of Wight nurses, who support Islanders through the most difficult times.
In the words of one family we recently supported:
“The love that you all gave to my mum and our whole family was indescribable. We will be forever grateful for everything the whole team did to help and support us all - through desperately sad and scary times - enabling my mum to die peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends where she felt no fear or discomfort, only love and support and the power of friendship and family.”

On Sunday, we spent the day at Walk the Wight supporting @mountbatten_iw alongside close to 1,000 dog owners taking on the challenge with their dogs 🐕
We were at the start line at 6am, handing out free dog treat bags before moving across to Freshwater Bay with our gazebo and doggy pic’n’mix station (more on that another day) 🙌🏼
The weather definitely tested everyone 🌧️ but despite the wind and drizzle, the atmosphere was still amazing and it was so lovely seeing the Isle of Wight community come together for such an important cause.
A massive thank you to everybody who stopped by, donated, grabbed treats for their dogs or simply came over for a chat. We’re still getting donations added to our fundraising account and will update everyone with a final total very soon 💛
