Every year on May 17th, the world recognizes International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia!
Since 2004, IDAHOBIT has connected local action with global solidarity, creating a powerful annual moment for communities to reaffirm collective commitment to the rights, dignity, safety, and freedom of LGBTQIA+ people worldwide, and draw attention to the ongoing discrimination and violence faced by our communities.

Pride in the Park is Eagle County's annual pride celebration held at Nottingham Park in Avon. This year, we will be gathering on June 13th for a day full of music, shopping, drag, and a wide variety of entertainment. Not to mention the prettiest photo backdrops nature has to offer.

Celebrated on May 4-10, Trans+ History Week seeks to increase awareness of the trans community through recognition and celebration of it's rich history. May 6th is recognized as Trans+ History Day, celebrated on this day to commemorate the anniversary of the Nazi raid on the Institute of Sexual Science in Berlin in 1933.
Celebrate by showing a trans person in your life a little extra love, spending some time recognizing the impact that trans folks have always had in our community, and uplifting the stories of some trans ancestors you may have never heard of!
Trans people have always been here, and they always will be. 💙🩷🤍
