Die Gewinner*innen des 10. Internationalen JOSEPH JOACHIM Kammermusikwettbewerbs stehen fest! Den 1. Preis, dotiert auf 10.000 €, erhält das Motus Quartett. Den 2. Preis, dotiert auf 5.000 €, erhält das Malion Quartett und den mit 2.500 € dotierten 3. Preis erhält das Davidoff Trio. Neben den drei Hauptpreisen wurden auch drei Sonderpreise verliehen, welche danke der Neuen Liszt Stiftung mit jeweils 1.000€ dotiert sind. Den Sonderpreis für die beste Interpretation eines Werkes aus der Kategorie „Frühe Klassik“ erhält das Gewinnerensemble Motus Quartett. Den Sonderpreis für die beste Interpretation eines Werkes aus der Kategorie „Komponiert nach 1970“ erhält das Paddington Trio. Den Sonderpreis für ein besonders begabtes Ensemble erhält das Trio Sheliak. Fun Fact: Alle Wettbewerbsteilnehmer*innen erhalten bei Anmeldung eine Nummer zugelost. Die zugeteilte Nummer 1 hat in all den Jahren, die die Musikhochschule Wettbewerbe veranstaltet, noch nie gewonnen. Aber heute war es soweit! Das Motus Quartett hatte die Losnummer 1 und ist nun mit dem 1. Preis ausgezeichnet worden. Domonkos Hartmann 🎻 Von Ungarn nach Wien, Preisträger internationaler Wettbewerbe — dieser Cellist lebt für Kammermusik und Entdeckungen. Karla Križ 🎻 Karla Križ wurde in Wien geboren und begann im Alter von vier Jahren Geige zu spielen. Heute studiert sie an der mdw Wien. Als vielfache Preisträgerin konzertierte sie u.a. im Musikverein und Konzerthaus Wien, im Concertgebouw Amsterdam sowie in der Carnegie Hall in New York. Sie ist Mitglied des Gustav Mahler Jugendorchesters und Teil des international preisgekrönten Motus Quartetts. Tim de Vries 🎻 Der in Haarlem geborene Geiger gehört zu einer neuen Generation herausragender Musiker. Seine Ausbildung führte ihn von Amsterdam nach Wien, wo er heute an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien studiert. Als Solist und Kammermusiker konzertierte er bereits auf internationalen Bühnen wie dem Musikverein und Konzerthaus Wien sowie dem Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Er ist Primarius und Gründungsmitglied des international preisgekrönten Motus Quartetts.
