On a path Andy Happel edition of 150, numbered and signed When I lost my spirit, running became a source of comfort. A small routine amidst chaos and a constant in times of feeling lost and lonely. Voices around me felt distant, details vague, stories became meaningless and life absurd – but as I kept running, I eventually found some lightness. ‚On a path‘ is a collection of moments from my running routine during an acute phase of mental illness. While I was unable to take on assignments, I started running as part of my therapy. Running gave me a sense of stability and allowed me to return to photography in a kind of meditative state.

Pourquoi le choix de sa figure pour ouvrir cette nouvelle collection des Grands cinéastes panafricains ? Ricoeur nous dit que le symbole aide à penser. C’est par le bout du fil filial que je me saisis de son ombre, qui demeure trente-cinq ans après sa disparition pour raconter. Raconter Samb n’est pas aisé, car l’homme a eu une vie riche ponctuée de multiples aventures humaines et esthétiques, mais aussi parce qu’il se situait aux confluents de plusieurs univers. Figure majeure du cinéma africain, il en a été un maître ; il a été l’inspirateur de plusieurs générations de cinéastes qui ont marché sur le sentier défriché par de courageux avant-gardistes. Dans cet ouvrage, premier d’une longue série, est présenté Samb, par le prisme de son œuvre et de ses diverses interventions dans le sens de donner au cinéma africain une existence par lui-même et un rôle dans le combat pour l’émancipation des Africains du joug colonial. Diverses personnalités témoignent sur l’homme, sur son œuvre et sur la matérialité de son esthétique et de son influence qui dépasse les frontières africaines. Nous avons recueilli une somme considérable d’archives matérielles et immatérielles ; des écrits, des voix et des images qui forment une riche bibliothèque de souvenirs. Le défi a été immense de préserver et valoriser les archives aux fins de les transmettre aux plus jeunes. Scénario – The five notebooks by Jean‑Luc Godard Le Livre d’Image Éditions & Editions RWB (English / French) This boxset brings together, reproduced identically, the five Scenario notebooks by Jean‑Luc Godard, created between May 2019 and October 2021. The notebooks were printed and bound in July 2025 by Grafiche Milani, Segrate (Milan) in one thousand numbered copies. Filmmaker Jean‑Luc Godard (1930‑2022) considered editing as an instrument of thought in service of all the arts. After completing The Image Book in 2018, he begins a new project, Scénario, which he believes will be his final film—and it indeed was. From this ultimate work, an open work where project and realization merge (“The scenario,” Godard said, “is written at the end”), five notebooks remain, five sketches for a film composed of images, painting, drawing, photography and texts cited or invented.

The Pho That Remains Ayla Aoki This booklet explores the idea of “home.” It begins at a table in a Vietnamese restaurant in Hawaii, and brings together people I met there, fragments of events, and memories through photographs, drawings, and text. It is not a place one properly belongs to. Food, people, and time blend together, their origins and boundaries left unclear. This piece of cloth, in your hand, is one of forty parts of a whole — a dissected painting meant to be touched and felt, perhaps also looked at. The painting was cut into pieces. No record of its totality remains, as totalities are often hard to believe in. Kink Gong – The Lisu (Vinyl) Kink Gong Discrepant Records One of the longest standing figures amidst the Discrepant wolfpack, the unstoppable alias of sound collector Laurent Jeanneau returns to the fold 2 years after ‘Tanzania II’ with this 2.0 update of the celebrated ‘The Lisu’ sort-of-mixtape released way back in 2014. Based on recordings of music from the Lisu communities in China and Thailand captured on site, this mix shows Gong more like a selector or dj, restricting electronic processing to a bare minimum in order to convey different histories, places and timeframes within the same mesmerising continuum. A respectful and deeply vivid evocation of all the richness and diversity found among the different strands of lisu music, from ceremonial vocal incantations through a chibeu string instrument “processed” in loco through saturated street speakers to moments of pure poetic radiance, ‘The Lisu’ flows gracefully with the keen sense of wonder and knowledge of one of this century’s most thoughtful and insightful sonic travellers. In Oey Oe:: everything speaks, Torgersen bids farewell to semantics and welcomes an untamed world. The book shifts between abstracted writing and photographs of people, animals, and sign-like forms, found by Torgersen during travels in Europe, the Caucasus, and Southeast- and East Asia. Oey Oe:: everything speaks is designed by Stener Vaagland and is the first book published by Bård Torgersen’s own imprint, Aporia. The publishing house will release artist books and other literature in limited editions. Bård Torgersen (b. 1967) debuted in 2005 with the novel Alt skal vekk [Everything Must Go], and has since worked across a wide range of genres and forms. He has published over twenty books – including novels, poetry, and prose – as well as numerous sound- and text-based works. Torgersen has performed in Norway, across Europe, and in Japan, and has collaborated with a variety of writers, musicians, and artists. His work has been published in Norway, Germany, the USA, and the UK.
