As a lifelong hockey fan from Manchester, a Boston Bruins supporter, and someone proudly repping the name Gilmore — this one just made sense šŸ’ā›³ļø Wearing the Gilmore 18 jersey and cap, I storyboarded, shot and edited this reel to bring those legendary golf scenes back to life — power drives, putter finesse, and all the energy that made the film iconic. Fuelling for a marathon compared to HYROX… Whether it’s an endurance event or very high intense HYROX race @scienceinsport provide the goods to stay on top of the pre and intra event nutrition. From a nutrition standpoint there’s not much comparison in the lead up to the start line, the training demands of both events require a lot of carbohydrates to fuel the sessions and a lot of protein to ensure great recovery. The marathon will require a lot more energy in terms of calories burned šŸ”„ so looking at that point I’d recommend more of a carb load for the marathon over HYROX. It’s easy to consume your extra carbs without feeling heavy or bloated too, carbohydrate drinks, gels and bars are an easy way to top up your glycogen stores. During a HYROX race I’d typically consume one BETA energy gel however in the upcoming Valencia marathon I’m going to be carrying 6 with me and taking one every 30 minutes. It’s vital to not under nourish your body during heavy training blocks and when you want to perform at your best šŸ’ŖšŸ¼ #fuelledbyscience šŸ“ø shot by @motionprostudio
