Join us on Thursday this week for a day of free shows and workshops at Motion Chapel as part of Rosorcas Festival!⁠ ⁠ Thursday the 21st of May from 4pm there will be shows from @ouch_productions and @_cor_mac as well as kids circus workshops. ⁠ ⁠ Location: The ⁠Monastery, Granlahan⁠ ⁠ Funded by @roscommoncountycouncil and @artscouncilireland

Live in the area or are traveling through, and want to experience some excellent Circus? Check out the list of public shows that are available without a full festival ticket as part of Rosorcas Festival. ⁠ ⁠ These take place at Motion Chapel over the course of the weekend 21st-24th of May. Aaand for the Saturday night in the chapel at Rosorcas, let us introduce DJ duo LoveSmoke, who will deliver energising sets rooted in Afrocentric and globally inspired sounds. Blending Afro House, Afro Tech and house music, their sound is vibrant and emotive, designed to move dance floors. Tickets for the cabaret + party with @lovesmokesounds can be had on the door at 8pm at Motion Chapel. See you there!

Check out the schedule for Sunday 24th of May at Rosorcas Festival! ⁠ Workshops include Rolls and Balances with @kathrings , Flexibility: Splits and Pancakes with @emmetlouis , Juggling with @siriofr and Partner Acrobatics. ⁠ ⁠ We will have the last show of the festival, S(h)tick from @duogeegee ⁠ at the tree stage. ⁠ There will of course be open training and the festival will wrap up with a traditional circus convention toss up, after which we’ll slowly begin our descent back into reality! ⁠ Funded by @artscouncilireland

Just a few spots left on @wespeden 4 hour juggling workshop in Roscommon Art Centre on Thursday, 21st of May!⁠ ⁠ Tangling Gravity, Time and Objects - Wes Peden⁠ ⁠ In this 4 hour workshop, Wes will guide you through his unique ball juggling techniques.⁠ Teaching you new juggling repertoire while explaining the underlying concepts behind the tricks and how to expand those ideas into other aspects of your own juggling. See how to develop new tricks, expand on traditional manipulation techniques, and transform simple ideas into juggling with surprising functions and unconventional shapes. The workshop is a playful and uplifting environment designed to experiment together and find new joyful ways of tangling gravity, time, and objects.⁠ ⁠ Workshop Details:⁠ ⁠ Price: 35€ must be prebooked on motionchapel.com, and is not included in full festival pass.⁠ ⁠ • Length: 4 hours⁠ • Prerequisites: Participants should be able to juggle 5 balls and comfortably perform 3- ball patterns such as 531, 423, and 441.⁠ • Please Bring: A notebook, pen, 3 juggling balls of the same color and a 4th ball in a different color. (beanbags are recommended for the techniques we'll cover).

Feast your eyes on the schedule for Saturday the 23rd of May at Rosorcas Festival at Motion Chapel in county Roscommon!⁠ ⁠ Kicking off the day there will be a site specific performance created in the days leading up to the festival directed by Pau Portabella, in the evening we will have the Rosorcas Cabaret followed by dancing 'till late. ⁠ ⁠ Workshop include Fictional Creation with @imogenhuzel and @inkaliljapehkonen , Juggling with @siriofr , Acro Dance with @elenaayalacuadrado , Ring Juggling for Beginners with @kathrings , Diabolo with @duogeegee and Flexibility: Front Splits and Bridge with @emmetlouis . ⁠ ⁠ There will also be a chance to sit down with one of the team from ISACS Network, a Talk from Pau Portabella on Creation, Directing and Improv as well as open training al day. ⁠ ⁠ This one really packs a punch! And @kathrings third workshop at Rosorcas will be....⁠ ⁠ Balances and Rolls ⁠ ⁠ 11am Sunday 24th May, Supermoon Dome - Duration 1.5 hours⁠ ⁠ The classics that everyone loves! get started on balancing your hoop/ring on your hand and find out what's important to make progress. In addition we will look at the basics if rolling your hoop over your body so you can combine the two eventually. ⁠ ⁠ See you at Rosorcas festival of Circus arts, May 21-24 at Motion Chapel!

Friday 22nd of May Rosorcas Schedule:⁠ ⁠ Shows taking place at Motion Chapel are Break an Egg by @jugglebrendan , Belonging by @kathrings and a work in progress double bill. ⁠ ⁠ Workshops include Tools for Improvisation and Sequencing by @kathrings , Balances: Handstands by @imogenhuzel , Balances: Headstands by @inkaliljapehkonen , Acrodance and a kids circus workshop. ⁠ ⁠ On top of all this we will have Tiny Talks, a breathwork workshop and open training in the convention chapel!⁠ ⁠ All of the above plus camping and a porridge buffet are included in the full festival pass, OR you can just catch the day's happenings on a day ticket- more info on motion chapel.com!⁠ ⁠ Funded by @artscouncilireland

Pathways to Rosorcas - By Car ⁠ ⁠ Here is a suggested itinerary for your Rosorcas Festival if you are arriving via car. ⁠ ⁠ Wednesday 20th: ⁠ 2.00pm Arrive to Roscommon Town⁠ 2.00 - 3.45pm Watch Street Shows in Roscommon Town Square⁠ 6.30pm Accessible Juggling Workshop @roscommonartscentre ⁠ Dinner ⁠ 8.00pm Rollercoaster by @wespeden at Roscommon Arts Centre ⁠ Wednesday evening drive to Motion Chapel, possibly give someone a lift⁠ ⁠ Set up your tent and get cozy for the evening!⁠ ⁠ OR if you're doing Wes Peden's workshop in Roscommon Town on Thursday morning, stay an extra night there after the show and head on down to Motion Chapel on Thursday midday!⁠ ⁠ Thursday 21st - Sunday 24th : Stay at Motion Chapel enjoy the full festival program, which is now live on the website!⁠ ⁠ Sunday 24th evening: Catch a final sauna and hit the road back to real life!⁠ ⁠ Funded by @artscouncilireland

Rosorcas Day Schedule for Thursday the 21st of May ⁠ ⁠ Thursday kicks off the festival at Motion Chapel with open training, walkabout performers as well as a circus movie night and our first night of sauna!⁠ ⁠ Workshops include @wespeden at Roscommom Arts Centre in the morning, and a kids circus workshop at Motion Chapel. ⁠ ⁠ Shows will be Fountain of Joy by @ouch_productions and Seamus McJuggler by @_cor_mac ⁠ ⁠ While all this is going on, you can leisurely set up your tent in the campsite or park your van and get comfortable!⁠ ⁠ Funded by @arstcouncilireland and @roscommoncountycouncil
