•Muttal kadhal• Theatre is the only constant/consistent thing in my life for the past one year. Took a break from almost everything I was doing except theatre. The joy and the happiness on stage is something I could never comprehend. There are only a few people,places where you could be yourself without an ounce of fear, the stage is one such place for me. It has always been a place where I could find peace, calmness and myself ofc. . Playing Emily was super fun and it has opened up a few questions. . . But for now this is basically a gratitude post for the entire @poochus_productions If it wasn't for @rajdrik reminders I wouldn't have gone in for auditions and if not for his and @denveranthonynicholas 's summa aadunga pushes I wouldn't have tried dancing on stage after years. Thank you, you both are the real sweethearts <3 The writer and director @ramee_kris who had to put up with shit yet stayed strong till the very end. *Hearts hearts* Assisted by @kumaran_sethuraman also thank you for all the music lessons @thessa_jeevan @sanchita_raghunath <3 @abhssen , you're the best co-actor one could ask for and I mean it. A play I dreaded doing. A play that ended up teaching me quite a lot of things. It was too close to reality and too real to escape. Holding on to emotions isn’t the hard part, it’s the letting go.Maybe emotions, like relationships, linger even after we’ve said goodbye. So how do you step out of something that sits this deep in you,that drains you even after it’s over? Somewhere between rehearsals and performances, I learnt where to draw the line even when everything felt blurred. Funny how the body remembers. It holds on, reacts, carries while the mind tries to move on, but the body,. it lingers. That’s what made this process both beautiful and terrifying. But where do I even begin? Do I start with the ache in my chest the quiet knowing that none shall come to save me? Or the knot in my stomach, whispering I am fated to fall short of enough? Do I write of my head, crowded with ghosts that will not be laid to rest or my mouth, weary from swallowing words a hundred times rehearsed, yet never confessed? My jaw aches from holding all things steady, whilst all within me threatens to come undone. My lungs, as though breath be no longer a gift, but a burden I must remember to bear. Or my hands, aching to reach through time’s cruel divide, to hold the self I once knew as mine? And my ribs a fragile cage of bone and breath, failing to contain what breaks within. Do I speak of my back, bent with burdens never meant to be mine to carry or my legs, leaning, time and time again, that I alone must rise, and I alone must stand? So tell me where does it hurt?
