First boulder post foot surgery 🎉 tbh it was a pretty massive outing for my lil foot. I hiked up an incline trail, scrambled over uneven terrain, squeezed my toes into climbing shoes, and climbed my way up three V0s. Look at me weight my right foot in this video!!! So brave, so strong, so much progress!!!

Weekend road trip to Zion was a much needed reset after a winter of event planning and surgery recovery. Recovery is still in-progress so the goal was activities with minimal walking/standing. Found joy by:
-e-biking in Zion National Park
-(sit down) paddle boarding at Quail Creek State Park
-sliding thru St. George Narrows road side slot canyon
-cool lake dips
-hot springs
-surprisingly good pizza
-visiting a good friend
I miss rock climbing. This is my second winter in a row recovering from surgery and it’s not a very fun way to spend climbing season in Bishop. Last winter was knee surgery, this year it’s foot surgery and I know it’s obvious, but injuries are really boring and not fun. Besides the obvious, it’s felt isolating to spend over a year not being able to climb while professionally organizing climbing events. I miss being a part of the community that I organize for. I miss spending my afternoons climbing and being a lizard out on the rocks between early morning and late night work sessions. Lately life has been a lot more inside, a lot of resting and waiting and being patient and hoping that I can get back to my rock based life again soon…
a sunset, a loaf of Lenny, a loaf of bread… 🥖 🌅 🐶 recovering from foot surgery requires lots of resting… and resting is pretty boring but I’m baking bread again and Lenny is a good rest-mate and my backyard is really pretty

Lil clown’s first aerial performance 🤡🙃✨ Picked up a new hobby about 6-months ago, then decided to sign up for a performance with @easternsierraaerialarts because I needed a goal to work towards and I had a vague dream of unraveling to Weezer 💭This was my first public performance in over 10 years 🤯 (I grew up doing competitive gymnastics & annual dance recitals) doing a new style of performance and choreographing something was scary and also fun. thx for watching my tricks 👻
Feeling this post-mini fest vibe as I prep for trad fest this weekend… 🫠… I know it’s not that far, but WOW emotionally, it’s so far…. please send good vibes if you’ve got any 🙏🤞🙏
