T I T L I S
Finally flew from here on the last days of season 25/26 🤟
This is an incredible flight, flying inches above a glacier and then straight back into spring.

Spitzbergen.
Countless walruses, 3 seals, a school of beluga whales... and zero polar bears.
One day the captain mentioned we were the most northerly ship in the world. Not sure if this was some French artistic license at work, but it was such a strange contrast: eating great French food and sleeping in warm beds while the most brutal wilderness sat right there outside the window.
Since it was basically never dark, the ski tours were leisurely and time didn’t really matter. Or it shouldn’t have. But the ship was full of Swiss guests and guides, so in reality, time mattered a lot. Breakfast at 8am sharp. Every day.
It was also pretty special to be here with @stephanetuni , the person who first introduced me to the mountains in an avalanche course 14 years ago. Between the music and the mountains, he’s one of those people who only seems to get cooler with age. Thanks for the trip, Stephane and Fabian.
Old lifts and fresh lines in a quiet valley all to ourselves.
Thanks to @danielperret (the GOAT) for the great guiding 🙏

It was one of those ‘pinch me is this real’ days, we never saw another soul except for the farmers who let us use their Buurebähnli (farmer’s lifts) to win some altitude.
I debated which skis to bring, and in the end brought my fattest skis knowing I would have to drag them up the skin track, but I was very happy to have them on the runs down.
This is what it’s all about, and I feel so lucky my body can take me to these places.
Is Ski season over? Not even close. 🎿🐻❄️
Dancing with the Devil 😈
What a ski tour, what a day! I’ve dreamed of this tour for years, and on Friday, everything finally lined up and we made that dream into a memory.
I was 90% excited, 10% nervous from what I’d heard from others. But if I’ve learned anything, it’s that your own experience is what counts.
And wow… it was f*cking amazing. I loved every second.
Just a short trip to Arosa this year from Friday to Monday.
I am grateful for the time spent with friends old and new, and happy our little traditions keep going.
Fingers crossed we do this forever.
When have you limited your own Freedom?
Tonight someone gave me that provocation: ‘When have you limited your own freedom?’
The setting was a sauna: 90 degrees, music playing during guided breathing. My mind instantly jumped to the phrase: Dance like nobody is watching.
But the truth is, I am always watching. For me, much like imposter syndrome, the problem of limited freedom isn’t the eyes of others or external circumstances. The call is coming from inside the house.
I briefly wondered what the others were thinking. Given the endless supply of self-help books and ‘Fuck It’ courses, this internal policing is clearly a universal part of the human experience.
We rarely plan the escape; we just forget to lock the door. And on some random Tuesday, we do dare greatly (never read it). Growth comes in drips, and then suddenly all at once.
I’ve felt a shift over the last year. New people and new habits have come into my life, bringing new energy and perspectives. I’ve been inspired, taken paths I never thought I would, and I’ve let others be forgotten.
I smiled when my phone decided to play Wear Sunscreen this week. 26 years after first hearing it, the line about the most interesting 40-year-olds still not knowing what they want to do with their lives resonated. It highlights the beauty of being a work in progress: we are simultaneously the canvas and the artist.
