I did production design for the first time this year, these are some before and afters' from some of the settings.
I definitely can't take credit for the change in season but the cult-y stick hangings in the trees I can raise my hand for ✨️
Would you believe the hardest part (alongside outdoor shooting in extremely cold temperatures) would be the accidental sabotaging of my post party garbage pile in the kitchen island shots.😂

Getting to style some wild characters for later scenes was definitely a highlight. The terrifying Beatrix potter-y bunny mightve been a personal favourite.
@kryalcastle was also an exceptional location! 😄

I made this tudor/elizabethan blend after day work over the span of about a week.
Art finishing was absolutely a highlight (huge thank you @crumpet_kiing for the extra hands the night before).
Made up of five pieces - hoop skirt, undershirt/partlet combo, bodice/overskirt combo, ruff and a last minute headpiece @derossartistryfx and I brainstormed on day 1 of shooting.
Such an amazing crew and cast! An absolute thrill to be part of this project.

This lovely sand linen jacket was sourced and then weathered for a mysterious character in (another) spooky @nextnevillemedia short.
Before my time at Melbourne Polytechnic I had no idea that art finishing existed as an aspect of costume design, it's easily become my favourite part of it. One of the best motivators of finishing any make pieces as quickly as possible is I get to break it down at the end as a treat.

@lady_juna commissioned me early last year for an embroidered panel so she could make a stomacher for her hobbit costume with it. After missing out on last years hobbit day due to lockdowns she finally made it over!

I threw together this rough tunic for @crumpet_kiing in one evening and we had so much fun doing the art finishing together. This guy did *not* have a great time for the amount of grime we put on him.

Finally managed to squeeze in some time to finish these embroidered temple bands for @the.hearthguard 🔥☀️
Moving into a new house with a decently sized studio with actual natural light has helped with my crafting burnout so much. I was supposed to be unpacking today but instead I made myself a tunic for the Hearthguard sagas night ☺️
