We started from Onomichi and got up around 4am to catch the first bus to Imabari
Rented some “battery assisted bikes” which is like an e-bike, but older and worse. Still much easier than biking without any power tho
Here’s two highlights from the 84km long ride through 5 island, over 5 bridges and one ferry:
The first stop was Pattiserie T’s cafe on Hakata island. It was a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the stop
Then we went to Kousanji, a beautiful temple on Ikuchi island with caves, sculpture park, and plants all over
Another special thing about Kousanji is the waterside road from the bridge to the temple. We had great weather and it look magical
