Thank you for supporting Morphology! 🌷💕 Due to my top surgery April 10th & my loved ones making sure I take a moment to stop being a workaholic, so I can heal and relax. Thank you so much everyone for joining us at Morphology's second event of the year and celebrating the Spring Equinox with us! It really warmed my heart to see so many new connections take root, hearing all the laughter, catching folks sharing tender moments, folks loosing themselves to music and dancing the night away! I also was pretty tickled at how ya'll participated in the social game I created and happy you all had fun with that! Congrats to our Crowned March Winners! 👑 🕯🌸🌼🌷 Rain –The Chaotic Charmer Billyboi –The Tranquil Charmer Red –The CURSED Chosen One 📍For transparency—A major item used in the game was intentionally taken despite it being clearly communicated multiple times and on printed materials, that it was part of the experience. That kind of action could have disrupted the game for everyone. Thankfully, I had a backup and was able to keep things flowing. If you were the person who took it, please arrange to return it as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will not be welcomed back at future events. Respect for my work, my investments & this community is non-negotiable.🔥 All that aside, there is something about the energy of this small space that truly inspires real magick to happen! It was even witnessed during the raffle when folks who won more than once decided they wanted to instead gift away something else to someone who really wanted it. I spent the past year networking and listening to what this community really needed in this part of town on a consistent bases. I'm glad I took a leap of faith because the amount of folks that has been sharing heartfelt thanks since the first one, made me truly conceptualize the necessity. I don't really make much (if anything at all) out of producing these shows; everything made goes to cover my DJ & cast. As much as I know that a black transmasc nonbinary creature deserves their bread....I'm in this for building a space for community to connect, create and chill with one another. Rooted in community care, the event centers creative expression, supports social justice conversations, and honors embodied, instinctual but consensual ways of being. It is a place to build community, hold space for one another, and unapologetically have fun—together, wild but whole. There will be live music, vendors, performers & a variety of social experiences to help inspire community building! The social aspect is something I learned is needed now more than ever during these scary times....people feel lost, lonely, isolated in their rage and recovery! We need more safe queer spaces of healing for us to hold and be held! The venue offers mocktails for those in soberity and I created a strict policy in place around substance enticement behaviors. There is a vegan menu for those who don't eat animals, masks are encouraged and it is wheelchair accessible!💜 I'm so happy that many of you I told about this before it's official launch were excited to jump in! I recieved an influx of support that my form service capped out. Lol It will reopen in January for future performer and vendor submissions. 🫣🌈With all that said I couldn't get this far without you and I know I will need all the help I can get to make this a permanent monthly event!
