I love this piece written by @rickiryan and @geechiemotivator so much I had to post it. There are way too many parts to quote, but this article captures what grinds my gears about folks who take lackadaisical attitudes about what happens in the world, especially when they're loud and wrong. "If we are not careful, “ignorance is bliss” will be a permanent replacement for, “No investigation, no right to speak.” We witness every day how those committed to the idea that “it’s not that deep” also seek to be the central voices of discourse that determines the quality of life for billions of people across the world. Currently in each of the 3 Americas, propaganda is scaring us into believing that we are better off under the most genocidal government on the earth." Shout out to @hoodcommunist for this piece. I love this so much I'm pinning it. LINK IN BIO "The truth is, Black men and women are both racially oppressed, uniquely on the basis of gender and sex. Black men have been historically excluded from the work opportunities that are associated with masculinity in the United States, and Black women’s features, and mannerisms have been constructed as the antithesis of femininity. Black women have endured sexual reproductive violence, Black men have too and we cannot continue to ignore this. There are serious conversations that need to be had between Black men and women and within each group separately, in spaces designated for all of us to heal from gendered racial oppression. Social media is not that space. In fact, it is an instrument of psychological warfare."

On Black Femicide Shout out to the sisters, brothers and siblings who shared these texts when I asked for reading on this subject. May we struggle to be sharper in our commitment to overthrowing the plantation on the inside and outside. #BlackWomen #BlackFemicide #RevolutionaryStruggle #DestroyThePatriarchy

A few thoughts as im seeing one too many of our people demand Bad Bunny speak in English, say ICE isnt our fight, and hug the American plantation tightly.

My two cents. Alot has been said that resonates, and some that does not. There is a need to understand what AI is: the theory, applications, ethical considerations and environmental impact. We need a material assessment of how an increasingly digitized world shapes power, our relationships to production, the possibilities for a more ethically sound world. Like with other tech, this is a double edged sword. Tech creation, control, usage and impact are all political. There is nothing neutral about it: who owns/controls it, who it harms, who it benefits, etc. What we dont need is denial of real world impacts this particular technologies have on Black and other working class communities, as well as drinking water supplies. We also dont need doomer pessimism. That is a powerful tool of empire. #AI #TechFront #SeizeTheMeans
