Istanbul, I wish we could relive this night over and over again. Somehow, I still feel the energy present now. Thank you for coming, singing along, and the huge line at the end for the meet & greet.
I know some of you came from afar to see the show and that truly touches me 🙏🏻 Also a huge thank you to my amazing band, Nicky, Polle, and Istanbul Strings. You all lifted me up. Thank you Ferran, Ann, team from Salon IKSV, and last but not least, Atakan for making this memorable night possible.
Tekrar görüşmek üzere, İstanbul ✨

It has become a practice to move at the speed of noticing. To return to the small things I left behind. Painting after a long studio day. Or walking during blue hour, watching the moon shimmer on the water. Holding my cats close and listening to their soft purr.
Taking time almost feels rebellious these days. Even the phrase ‘taking time’ makes it sound like something is being stolen. And yet, the world feels richer when I do.
For months I felt a strong urge to disappear. To hibernate in the dark.
Which feels contradictory for an artist, as most artists long to connect and be seen.
Most days you’d find me in my notebook, or somewhere in nature. Both gave me something I needed. Still, I started to miss the feeling of connection, and had to keep reminding the inner critic to be quiet. All those songs in the vault that I care so much about, they want to come out.
Anyway, I’m happy to be back here. How are you? What books have you been reading?
I’m currently finishing Just Kids by Patti Smith and diving in the work of Bill Viola.

Where did all the dreamers go? I made this one just for us, for nights like these when the world feels loud and cold. I play it late with a cup of tea and my cats heavy on my lap. I’m sure I’m not the only one who collects songs that feel like they can open a door. What is yours?
