Training looks different when youāre a parent.
Less time. More responsibility.
More people depending on you.
I used to train for how I looked.
Now itās driven by longevity, function and sustainability.
Some weeks are smooth.
Some weeks are messy.
But Iāve learned that consistency doesnāt mean perfection, it means keeping the wheels turning, especially when it gets tough..
If youāre a dad trying to balance fitness, family, and work⦠youāre not behind. Youāre just in the middle of it.

Something that should get talked about more in fitnessā¦
The pressure of trying to change EVERYTHING at once.
Especially if youāre under a completely different set of circumstances to the next person
A dad of 1,2,3+ kids, holding down a job and trying to be present for the family cannot do:
Meal prep for the entire week
Work out 5 times
Extra conditioning
/cardio
3-4L of water a day
7-8 hours of sleep each night
Multiple stress management techniques
⦠all at once.
Itās exhausting just READING that list.
Let alone trying to do it all perfectly.
This is what coaching has taught me:
When you try to change too many thingsā¦
You usually end up changing nothing.
You can only handle so much at once.
Itās like trying to juggle...
The more balls you add...
The more likely you are to drop them all.
Thatās why inside Train for Life we have ONE rule:
We only focus on a select few things at a time.
Thatās it.
And it needs to be configured to the individual and how much they can do at once.
No overwhelming to-do lists
No complete lifestyle overhaul
No pressure to be perfect at everything
Just ONE focus...
Until it feels automatic...
Then we add the next piece.
Sounds too simple?
Thatās exactly why it works.
Will lost over 20kg using this approach.
Chunk lost 13kg.
Andrew lost 9kg.
Not by becoming a different person overnight...
But by building one small win on top of another.
Want to know which ONE thing you should focus on first?
DM me āSIMPLEā and Iāll help you figure it out.
No strings attached
They notice how you treat your body.
How you speak to yourself.
How you treat and speak to others.
How you handle stress.
How you show up when youāre tired.
One day theyāll talk like you, move like you, react like you, live like you.
Iām FAR from perfect, and will never be, but just trying set good standards where I can
