Just sold Touch the Earth, 60” by 80” mixed media. The natural world has always been my favourite teacher, with forests and rivers being my temple. As a child, often on my knees, hands touching earth, digging worms, fossils, roots and moss, I felt I was part of the living earth. Finding myself gazing where sunlight might filter through the canopy to illuminate a mushroom at the base of a tree . Witnessing the beauty of the forest inspired me to become an artist and “Touch the Earth” embodies the observations made, which instilled a deep respect for Nature. It’s mysterious with some hidden areas, both light and shadow, part shrine, part geology display, the assemblage incorporates ritual and aspects of it illuminate and reveal the ancient calmness of a forest. In preparing for the Fossils Bones and Stones show I spent a couple weeks adding the lights, paint and some new elements to the piece. #paulmorinstudios #paulmoringallery #assemblage #lightbox

Quiet Ripple, 30” by 48”acrylic on canvas. Every spring I begin the season by painting the pond outside my studio. The best thing about living in a wetland is the birds and animals which live and feed near the water’s edge. If you zoom into the painting you’ll notice the pendulum spins in the background texture. Just sold Ankasmarka, 24” by 48” acrylic on canvas. Situated in the Sacred Valley of Peru, this site is rarely visited and built unlike most of the Incan sites nearby.
