experimental animation homework assignments! the first animation of the bird, asked us to create an animated loop. I used reference photos from Eadweard Muybridge’s motion photography of birds. the second animation asked us to create a morph from two random drawings that our classmates drew during an in-class exercise. i had to morph one drawing into the other within 24 frames :)
these are two in class shoots from last semester in basic cinematography! the first collection of clips i was the DP, with @thecheckeredmug as the director! Then the second collection of clips was shot on 16mm 500T film with me as the director and Ela as the DP!
for these projects we were given rough scripts/poems to shoot within one class period and it was definitely a fun way to practice techniques and equipment!
also Ela beautiful edited the first collection of clips as well!
Self-Portrait, using 10 composition elements. This was my first assignment in my basic cinematography class last semester. We were asked to take 10 photos each aligning with a particular type of composition. The theme for the photos was self-portrait so i tried to have each photo communicate something about who i am. it was really just fun to go and take photos of my lovely friends.
hand animated 16mm loop created with found footage! this was an in-class project i did in my analog class last semester. the first video is from when i played it in class, and the second is the loop scanned!
last semester i had the most amazing time doing the production design for *junkyard’s first ever junkdrawer video, with the phenomenally talented @aswband !! this is my favorite set i’ve ever designed! thank you to @qwharp for having an awesome vision and allowing me to bring it to life! go check out the whole video on @junkyardboston youtube!
so bad at posting on here so we have a lot to catch up on! CONSUMED, was an editorial shoot i co-creative directed with my darling friend @olivia_flanz last semester for Index Magazine’s SS25 Issue! The shoot was a critic on fast fashion and our current consumer culture of excess, which perpetuates textile waste. Had such an awesome team for this shoot! grateful for each and every one of them ❤️ here’s just a few of my favorite photos from the shoot and some bts i took at the end!

I finally posted my Analog final project onto youtube!!! this film is so dear to my heart. it’s a love letter to my healing process within grief. Here’s some of my favorite moments from the project:) all the animation sequences you see were done entirely by hand frame by frame as i etched into the film. the project took countless hours to edit, often with me leaving after my hand completely cramped up, but it was so worth it.
a requirement for this project was to create a sound scape that did not include music. this was my first time really exploring sound design and i tried to create a sound scape that embodies how grief feels. it’s difficult to capture all that work into these short clips, but i hope if you watch the entire film you can feel the emotions of the sound design.
every step of the process to create this film was a moment of healing for me. it’s a reminder to hold onto the little moments, to embody the things you love about those you’ve lost, and love radically. the entire film is posted on my youtube, linked in my bio!
special thank you to my dear friend ellie abbey for always staring in my projects and for all the friends i had be apart of the montage at the end. love you guys ❤️
Some of my favorite clips from my in-camera edited 16mm film for analog last semester! the whole film is uploaded on my youtube (linked in my bio! check it out)
this was my very first project for this class and we filmed 2 weeks into the semester! the goal was to explore light and motion in static shots, but really i just got to capture my beautiful friends :)
JAZZYARD!!! this was my very first show doing PD for junkyard! i was brought onto the team about 2 weeks before the show and i’m so happy with how i was able to transform a frat house into a jazzy space! @junkyardboston
