Bali 🤝 Belly Part: 2 . . We woke up at stupid o’clock in the morning to drive up to Lahangan Sweet, nestled in the Karangasem region. Honestly, it was the best thing we did—the best views of Mount Agung, which towers over Amed and the surrounding areas. We then went to a coffee and tea plantation on our way to Canggu, tried all the coffee and tea on offer, and met a little civet that produces a well-known product called Kopi Luwak. I’ll let you Google why it’s so special… After a mammoth drive to Canggu, we set up base for the next few days in a fantastic little villa with friends. Shout out to @izelewington and @chace_mearound for having us 😘 The next day, I went on a random adventure to a 17th-century Balinese palace in Krambitan and casually met with the king of the area. An interesting man. He explained his whole family tree and showed me around his home. I was the only tourist there… the palace is decorated with china plates collected over centuries by the queens who wanted to display the gifts they’ve received from heads of state from different countries worldwide. The place was run down a bit, but the king said he receives money from his 30 siblings worldwide 😳, who help contribute to the upkeep of the palace. Anyway, after the tour, it took me ages to get back. There was no Taxi/Uber in sight. It was pushing 37 degrees, so I thought I’d make the 4-hour journey on foot. I walked for around 20 minutes while simultaneously trying to book a cab. Through my efforts, I’d managed to find someone willing to drive me an hour back into town. That evening, we went to an amazing seafood bar called SIA. The food was so good that I forgot to take pictures. The next day, we got up and met up with our friend @alex.stokeshughes to go to Saba Asir sea turtle conservation, and we had an absolute blast! The guys over there are doing an amazing job keeping the baby turtles safe from local threats like cats and dogs until they hatch. DEPRESSING FACT: 1/1000 sea turtles survive the wild 🥺😭 Anyway, we all picked our favourite-looking turtle, waved goodbye, and released them back into the sea. We prayed that they all had survived….#indonesia #holibobs #amedbali

Bali 🤝 Belly Part: 1 . . We started in Tulamben - Amed—one of many small fishing villages now known for scuba diving. I, of course, did not dive 💅, but my co-host had a blast. H I G H L Y recommend coming here. It's tranquil and way less touristy than the south of the island. Mount Agung serves as a stunning backdrop to the area. An unforgettable trip. Big up to my Australian sister for getting married and creating the most perfect excuse for a holiday in Bali and a chance to see her again! Photo Dump as follows: 1. Mon contemplating life on wedding day 2 11. Rice paddies never get old …our view pre-hike to Sekumpul Waterfall 12. We made it to Sekumpul ! (It was a long, sweaty hike) 13. Pale Irish girl and big waterfall 14. Me and Izel the night before she became a Ewington and after I embarrassed myself at beer pong 15. Mon @ coffee plantation tasting all the bevvies 16. We released some baby turtles and hopefully right now there is a Mon, Phoebe and Alex Junior swimming about in the waves 17. Me and my new pal Eva (oldest lady in Mason Elephant park/ Sanctuary) 18. Pura Taman Ayun temple 19. High views in Singapore—but potentially worth it for the overpriced drinks 20. Sick hotel with more greenery than most of the city tbh (SO to Mon —top man 😉)
