As an entrepreneur, it’s so easy to forget to live in the moment, to keep chasing the next big thing and thinking about everything else that still needs to be done. Setting new timelines and deadlines as you’re conquering old ones, challenging yourself, and wanting more, more, more.
While that’s probably an occupational hazard, I believe we should learn to pause, look at where we started, and give ourselves a pat on the back for how far we’ve come, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the lessons that have shaped us into who we are today. It’s important to recognize those achievements we’ve accumulated over time, the seemingly small wins, the big wins, the whole shenanigans.
I remember paying for the space and feeling just a bit relieved, but almost immediately I started thinking of the expenses that would get me to what I was envisioning. I didn’t fully grasp the gravity of what I had done, considering how it all started.
And to be honest, up till now, I’m still yet to fully take it all in, how proud I should be of myself and the team. ShopMora literally started in my room with nothing but a manual machine from my mum and the first 10k I took to the market, a bit cliché, but that’s what has brought us here, with God’s grace and hard, consistent work.
