I grew up in Margate, and love what the town has become, and being able to watch it grow first hand has been amazing! It’s about time we threw our hat into the ring and built something in the community we know and love.

In just a year we’ve served you in the Turner for two months, we gave you street food out the bus cafe in the heat of summer, ran multiple sell out supper clubs, taken over High Dive, Hoffs and Bar Nothing.
And catered for some stunning events including our own wedding! And we’re still going.

We’re gagging to get back in the kitchen and serve you some more plates!
Something we’ve been playing around with is a take on enchiladas! 🌮These ones were stuffed with rich spicy black beans, before being covered in a deep, punchy sauce made from different dried and charred chillies, then finished with a bright salsa verde, avocado and sumac pickled onions. Ridiculous, moorish, and definitely something we’re hoping to get on our next menu! 🩷

If you haven’t seen already, @scorchaskateschool needs a bit of help from the local community to get a new van and keep there lessons and community events rolling!
I grew up in Thanet with Kane, and he’s doing incredible things for the local youth teaching them how to skate, and creating a safe and enriching environment for them to spend time in!
Him and his team have done so much for the community, and now the community can give back!
We’ve given Kane some MOP vouchers for people that donate, as well as many other amazing local businesses! If you love Margate, it doesn’t get anymore local than this!

Another Date Night done 🩷 The atmosphere on the bus on Saturday was amazing, if not a little bit mental.

Happy international woman’s day to all you wonderful people! But most of all to my wife and better half of MOP.
Who dived straight in with no kitchen experience to help me get all this started, couldn’t do MOP without you, and I wouldn’t want to try.
The face of the business (smart move), chief food taster, front of house manager, sous chef, delivery driver, emotional support, sound board and everything in between. Can’t wait to have our own space, and watch you dance around it 🩷

A few dishes from the archives!
We switch it up each time, so we’ve done a lot of dishes since MOP started. Writing menus, testing and coming up with new ideas constantly in between events.
It’s a lot of work, but it’s how we like to cook. Bold surprising flavours, influences from different cuisines, using local seasonal produce, creating gorgeous plates you’ll want to mop up.
Anyone got a favourite dish we’ve served in the past? Maybe we’ll bring it back! 🤷🏻♂️
