Oh hey there! Long time no see, let me catch you up as to why it seems like I fell off the face of the earth for a short period of time. The last 1.5 months ive been recovering from 2 back to back, unexpected injuries (yep) The middle of January, Aviva nose punched me in the eye and scratched my cornea I had to have a bandaid contact in my eye and things were a tad blurry for a bit. 2 weeks later just as my eye seemed to be in the final stages of recovery I woke up one morning with the worst pain in my neck and arm ive ever had. To make a long story story shorter, I herniated a disc in my neck that has also affected the use of my right (dominate) arm. The first 2 weeks I was pretty much couch/bed ridden and I barely slept due to the amount of pain I was in. I am now currently 1 whole month post injury and the Dr says it looks like everything is healing up well on its own, Im in much less pain and am even starting to be able to drive again. I still have to be incredibly careful with how I move my neck and arms as I continue to heal, and also now that its pretty much spring I was able to get my car back out. Hopefully the weather continues to stay nice (NO MORE ANOW YA HEAR) and my recovery keeps going well. Hopefully this means I'll be able to jump back into more projects soon to share with you all 🙂

Getting handed a $3000 repair estimate can do crazy things to a person 😅😂 What started as a hellacious noise in our 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and being told the front differential was “toast” was the tipping point for me to put on my big girl pants and start learning how to repair more modern vehicles. (Even tho I don’t like it and I’ll never like it lol🫠) With the help of my best friend and some great advice from friends here on IG, we were able to figure out that the culprit of the issues was not in fact the front differential. But actually the front driveshaft! What should have been a simple job snowballed into a crusty rusty mess and the transmission crossmember and mount ended up having to be replaced as well. Just look at those rust thru holes! In the end it was bad but not as entirely bad as anticipated (the rust definitely made it worse tho lol) and I saved myself over $2000! ☺️
