ASCENSION & U:MACK & HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS PRESENT THE COSMIC DEAD WITH SPECIAL GUESTS WILD ROCKET
The Cosmic Dead are an amorphous blob of space rock energy hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. Their exploratory compositions often reach levels of sonic destruction through reflective repetition and visceral harmony.
The band has taken many forms since forming in 2010 and has been declared 'The loudest psychedelic rock band on the planet." by legendary compere Kozmik Ken.
At the base of the current sonic obliteration team is a rhythm section of Tommy Duffin and Omar Aborida, a thunderous and cohesive unit which is then further propelled into the outer realms by Luigi Pasquini providing frantic italo synthesized electronics along with Calum Calderwood's mind bending, sky-shattering fiddle acrobatics.
'Beyond The Beyond' is the highly anticipated tenth studio album from inter-dimensional space travelling explorers The Cosmic Dead, the album takes listeners on a four track expedition into the deepest cosmos of the band. Recorded at Dystopia Recording Studio in Glasgow, 'Beyond The Beyond' features the riff rolling rhythm section of Tommy Duffin on drums and Omar Aborida on bass guitar alongside soaring fiddle acrobatics from Calum Calderwood and electronic textural bleeps and bloops from Luigi Pasquini on synthesizers, all wah laden and with phasers set to destroy - Turn on, tune in and immerse yourself in the sound of The Cosmic Dead.
"If the rings of Saturn could sing, this is the sound they would make." - Zero Tolerance

Hello I got these built today so they're in the shop now. Very limited number of the flat black and black sparkle and a good few of the red sparkle. Very happy with how these turned out and I hope everyone else likes them too.
Still doing free shipping worldwide.
Cheers folks
Here's an old phaser build from 2014 back in for a rehouse with top jacks. Purple again in honour of Prince of course. The (not so secret) secret weapon of me auld flower @bonesghoulihan
Here's a very cool custom project that took a little longer than planned but got there in the end.
It's a Jordan Bosstone (with some extra tricks) for pedal steel. Input is a cap blend to dial in how thick the fuzz is. Dark toggle gives a darker output option. On toggle is a true bypass switch. The unit attaches directly to the steel for ease of access (it does not attach directly to an SG though much to my consternation..)
This was made for @steelydave83 who's an amazing player and solid dude. If you haven't heard his 2024 album Cuimhne Ghlinn go check it out immediately and catch him live if ya can.
Here's a Klon type build from last week along with a Nomad from the same order. Tried to give it a bit of a similar colour scheme.
Can make more of these if anyone is interested. 180 euro shipped..magic diodes and all..
Cheers
SOUND! Festival 2026: Build an Effects Pedal with Moose Electronics (Workshop)
Saturday 9 May | 12.30 PM
Ever wanted to build your own guitar effects pedal? This hands-on workshop gives you the chance to learn the basics of soldering and electronics while creating your very own fully functional reverb pedal.
Led by Moose Electronics — a Dublin-based boutique pedal maker founded by Cian Megannety — known for hand-built, custom-designed effects used by leading Irish artists, this is a rare chance to learn directly from one of Ireland’s most respected independent makers.
No experience is needed — all parts are provided, and you’ll leave with a custom-built “Touch of Spring” reverb pedal, the same design used by Fontaines D.C. and other top Irish artists. A unique opportunity for musicians, makers and anyone curious about sound design to get hands-on and take home something special.
€100 | 4 hours

We had a great time at the inaugural @noisemakermarket
Pleasure meeting everyone at it. Huge thanks Adam and the crew for putting it all together.
As you may have seen I came home with a @holyislandaudio Deforming which might be the most fun delay pedal ever. I love running two delays in series so this covers that ground perfectly plus the warp feature just brings me pure wonky joy. Will get a video of it in context soon.
If you're wondering about new pedal finishes I'll have news on those tomorrow.

PS My fake teeth are really obvious here.. 😁 but they're not really this white..
@noisemakermarket was an absolute mates fest! Was super sick to catch up with everyone and I even got to go home with some toys! Traded a Deforming with @moose_electronics for a Cosmic Trigger that I’ve been lusting after for a while and @klang_guitars was kind enough to lend me this stunning prototype guitar for a few months while they’re away in China. The pickups on this thing absolutely rip. Possibly the meanest sounding single coils I’ve played to date tbh and they’re super articulate ✨
