HEADLINERS LISA MOORE is a writer, poet and actor. Her work is fierce and unflinching, rooted in lived experience and often laced with sharp humour.
CAITLIN is an emerging Manchester based poet. Combining northern wit with vulnerability to explore the chaotic joy that is being a neurodivergent woman, her work is both deeply personal and relatable. AMELIA is a 15 year old spoken word artist from Manchester and the youngest performer EVER to take the stage at Poets Palace. Amelia’s poetry is raw, powerful and impossible to ignore.
This is a photographed and filmed event. This event upholds safespoken principles - please contact us for our safeguarding policy. Access needs? Get in touch with us. Poet’s Palace is a platform for emerging spoken word artists. Through live events, open mics, and workshops, we create inclusive spaces that amplify new voices, support creative growth, and build community through truth-telling and care, centering artists from the Global Majority, LGBTQIA2+ communities, and those historically excluded from the arts.

Ahead of the publication of my second collection, I’ve been fortunate to receive a number of generous and thoughtful endorsements.
‘Pickled Women’ sits between poetry and performance — a collection that moves through voice, character and memory, and begins to edge into script. The poems are not quiet; they hold lived experience, humour, discomfort, and confrontation in equal measure. It’s work that is intended not only to be read, but to be heard and embodied.
Alongside the publication, I am now developing the project further for stage and screen — as a one-woman theatre show and a short film - more date to add but here’s the few confirmed so far come and see the new work .. 25 April @pullupbarcafe 29 April @poets_palace June 6 opening for @vinnypeculiarmusic@thecastlemanc june 6 @the_poetryplace@morecambepoetryfestival Sept 20 @mattpanesh@andyhollingworth1 photo credits @rararanam producer @abililley_makeup@careycareyhair@emcarey1 hair 🙏
Honoured to have received this response to my forthcoming collection Pickled Women from none other than the amazing @rakieayola . I’m knocked out🙏
I’ve now got all my pre publication reviews and will be sharing them soon. 📗 is ready to go now — and there’s a one-woman show growing alongside this one too.
Watch out for that -
Thank you to the people who have believed in me as a writer. There’s nothing I’d rather do than write — across many forms, keeping it alive and moving. And yes - Script comes next!!
I did find this very tough to write — but I think it may earn its place. 🤞 🍃❤️ big thanks to @andyhollingworth1 for his brilliant photography @abililley_makeup and @jahan_zabe for his producing skills

Been fighting off a virus - it ‘s really got me - both of my dogs have been amazing but this one has barely left my side I could see his mind whirring to how he could help more - they know much more than we know they know - And it gave me an excuse to share this incredible image by the brilliant @tsp.studios - check his work
It’s been a right ole slog on my soul writing this bit it’s done ✔️ and probably my last collection - it’s messy and frenetic and very exposing ✔️ out soonish - the reviews are coming in now and I’m especially grateful for this one … scripts next !! I’ve just finished final revisions of my second poetry / spoken word collection, ‘Pickled Women’ It’s about to go out for review, and parting with this one feels strange. This work has been dragged through my guts and has come at a serious cost to my head, during a particularly tough time. I hope it speaks to others.
It’s terrifying to reveal this much —
This will be my final poetry collection before I move fully into longer-form writing. I may come back to poetry later, when other things have been said but there is an add on to this book too - tbc
Consider this my poetry SWAN SONG , if you will — I like to think it’s got some neck…
With thanks to all the friends and collaborators who have helped me, pushed me, and shaped me — you know who you are. I couldn’t have survived this shenanigans without you! 🥴😫
