Steak Night is still taking a long nap, but Thursday isn’t dead. 💀
Rest assured, the Moon Goons are cooking up something special in the kitchen. Our next Thursday special launches next week, and we’ll be announcing the full deets soon.
We’re kicking it off with our pals at La Chouffe for Gnome Week, and we’re firing up the grill for a proper Moon Tower special.
Go ahead and mark your calendar. New deal. Same Tower fun. ✌️
Part 2 of posting some of my work from the East End assignment for @texasmonthly . Starting with a place that has always felt like home @moontowerinn . I still bring my original mug back here for Mug Mondays. Whether it’s cold out and the fires are going, or it’s the hottest day of the summer. The countless taps will keep you cozy, and they pair well with a wild game hotdog or burger. The perfect place to gather with friends after hanging out with your run club or as you wrap your ride with friends.
Speaking of riding with friends... I noticed this group of bike riders while I was enjoying my beer at Moontower Inn and they were so stoked to give me a few minutes of their time. I miss moments like these which happened a lot more during my time in NY when public transportation was a larger part of my daily life.
I went back to my table with friends after that, and I met the loveliest guy, Ramy Saleh, who said: “I’m opening a dog park down the street. Wanna go see it?” @zoomiesparks is the best place in the East End to take your dog to get some fresh air and socialize with other dogs while you enjoy a drink, and while you also enjoy the fresh air you didn’t know you needed.
I grew up skating here. (hope you don’t find pictures of me online during this time) East End skate park is a staple where you’ll always find kids and adults shredding night and day. And right down the road? Another skate park. “The Berg” is a self-made and self-funded park a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) skatepark located in Houston, Texas, that has been active since approximately 2018. It is known as a local, skater-built spot featuring various obstacles like a concrete bowl and unique street features. It is generally considered a private or “hidden” spot. I won’t drop the pin, but if you ask a local skater they may show you where it is.
Deebo’s Last Dance! 🥪
If you missed the memo, Friday Deebo is going on hiatus after this week. We’re taking next week off to “let them cook” and R&D some fresh nonsense.
Then in two weeks, Fridays come back as a rotating special fueled by intrusive thoughts, divine inspiration, and whatever delicious idea we can’t stop thinking about.
Deebo runs 11am till sellout, so come grab one last Deebo before we throw our intrusive thoughts into the Friday specials machine. ✌️
Steak Night takes its final lap tonight. 🥩
If you didn’t see our post yesterday, we dropped a bummer bomb: Steak Night is going on hiatus. The pricing just doesn’t make sense for what we want to give y’all.
But when one door closes, another unhinged banger kicks the door open. Stay tuned for deets on our next Thursday night special. We know we’ve got big shoes to fill, and y’all know we aim to please.
TONIGHT.
One last ride.
Steaks hit at 7pm till gone, and we’re emotionally preparing the kitchen now.
Come send her off properly. ✌️
Steak Night is riding off into the meat sunset. 🥩
Tomorrow, May 7, is our last Steak Night for the foreseeable future. Beef prices have gotten too damn high, and we’re not gonna serve y’all a “special” that doesn’t feel like a deal.
Great food at a good value — that’s the whole point.
So, we’re taking a week to R&D a new Thursday special that’s delicious first, a killer value second, and very much born from our weird little brains. More deets coming soon.
Friday Deebo is also taking its final bow this week. We’re taking next week off to cook up some nonsense, then we’ll be back in two weeks with a rotating Friday special fueled by intrusive thoughts and questionable brilliance.
Come send Steak Night off properly tomorrow, grab your last Deebo on Friday, and pour one out for the OGs.
See y’all soon. ✌️
Nerds, drinkers, and galactic scum, these are the beers you’re looking for.
It’s May the 4th, so we’re doing it right with a special tap of Tibanna Reserve from Bottle Logic. It’s a smooth, pillowy hazy IPA packed with tropical fruit, ripe citrus, and a little dankness for good measure.
Post up with your fellow space nerds and beer freaks, and enjoy a little Star Wars Day magic the Moon Tower way.
May the pours be with you. 🍺✨
Free live music is for the people, and we’ll die on that hill.
So we teamed up with our friends at @bad.astronaut to give away a few pairs of tickets to see Jaguar Sun on Saturday, May 9th at Bad Astronaut, because we’re in the business of helping y’all have more fun.

Can you still get a cold pint for under $5?
Why yes, yes you can.
Your afternoon just got cheaper. Tuesday through Friday from 3–6pm, we’re pouring $4 Texas beers for Happy Hour, because suffering through the rest of the day sober sounds miserable. Grab a cold one, grab some food, and let the patio do the rest.
Swing by and make the fiscally responsible decision. 🍻
Cheap pitchers, loaded platters, and a chance to show off that big beautiful brain of yours?
That’s a damn good Tuesday.
In case you hadn’t heard, our crowd-favorite MoonTower Platters are now 20% off on Tuesdays, which just so happens to be Trivia Night.
Platters and pitchers were basically made for the table, and ours come in two sizes loaded up with grilled glizzies, toasted focaccia, and all the right accoutrements.
Swing through tomorrow (aka Tuesday) for 20% off MoonTower Platters, $12 @saintarnoldbrewing Lawnmower, and Geeks Who Drink at 8pm. 🍺
FREE King Tuff show tonight at the Tower. 🌙
We’ve got cold beer, hot food, and fuzzed-out rock n’ roll ready to do the heavy lifting.
Not a bad way to spend a Saturday night, especially when it costs you exactly zero dollars.
Morgan Nager: 8–8:30pm
King Tuff: 9–10pm
Other places charge cover.
We’d rather just see your face. Come post up and make a night of it. 🍺
Our Thursday Steak Night doesn’t exactly need a sales pitch since y’all clean us out every week, but consider this your heads-up to get here early.
Steaks start flying at 7pm, and they tend to disappear real damn fast. 🥩
Speaking of good decisions, King Tuff is at the Tower this Saturday, April 25, for a FREE show.
Most places charge you to have a good time, but not us. Come eat steak tonight, then come back and catch King Tuff on Saturday. Win-win. 🍻
Some of y’all are about to have a real good Mug Monday at the Tower.
The 420-ready mugs are here, and there are not many of ’em.
The Darkwing is running for one day only with duck egg, fig jam, bacon, and pimento on buttery brioche.
And because we weren’t about to stop there, the Tower classic Cuban Bastard is back too, with butter-toasted marble rye, oak-smoked pork loin, griddled ham, Swiss, caramelized kraut, house secret sauce, and house-made pickled okra.
We’re not here to tell you how to live, but this feels like Monday done right. 🍻😶🌫️
