Popped by @once.more.restaurant in Richmond to try out some comforting North Eastern Chinese Cuisine. What I love about their style of Chinese food is that they definitely got spice to it - like cumin and mala peppers corns. Overall the food was super comforting, tasty and went down so well, especially when you drizzle the sauce from the chicken pot over white rice, that’s just so so good! 🤪 If you’re looking for delicious Chinese food, I’d recommend giving this spot a go! Discovered another hand pulled Lanzhou beef noodle place that I think you guys will love. This spot is called “Hui Flavour” located in Burnaby, in the car park area opposite Crystal Mall. They specialize in Halal Chinese food, specifically Lanzhou beef noodle soup and XinJian cuisine. I did enjoy both dishes, the braised chicken was slightly on the dry end, but the flavour was good! I don’t know if I’m even allowed to share these yet, but I couldn’t keep this to myself. I just tried the new Beef Naanpanadas from @realchefbombay and let’s just say… a few went missing before they even made it to the table. The crust is made from naan, which gives it this nice light and crispy texture. The beef filling is savoury and aromatic, it’s so tasty! These are perfect for a summer picnic or if you’re hosting a get-together. Consider this an official heads-up. ✨IF YOU LOVE MANGO & ASIAN DESSERTS ➡️ Keep watching! 😊🥭 When did it all of a sudden feel like summer? Not complaining, I love the blue skies and warmth but boy, it feels like burning in the sun. So… to refreshen up, I love heading to the mall to cool down and grab some refreshing Hong Kong style desserts. They always use fresh fruit, and with mango in season it’s one of my absolute favourites!! This time I stopped by @sunflowerfruitydessert in @aberdeen_centre and tried a selection of desserts! My highlights: literally anything with mango is a winner! But I particularly enjoyed the mango dessert soups which tasted like a mix of papaya too. (This was my first time trying it like this but I really enjoyed it) They’re also known for their mango mochi, super fresh, stretchy & had massive mango chunks! We also tried the black sesame sago pudding which came out hot with a crispy top. This was fun to eat. The mango pancakes were also tasty! The newest dining spot @raysdaydinnerdark just opened up in Yaletown and it’s totally the vibe this summer. This would definitely be a spot I’d pop into after work or for a girls night! ✨ NEW BRUNCH MENU SLAPS! ✨ Recently one of my favourite cafes in Richmond @cafeandlifeco updated their brunch menu and it’s literally perfect for this spring! The dishes we tried look absolutely stunning, it felt so luxurious and high-end.
