Alisa comes from a musical family, and grew up performing in theater and choral groups in the Peninsula. While living in Hawaii, Alisa fell in love with toning and crystal singing bowls and went on to study sound healing at the Globe Institute of Sound and Consciousness in San Francisco. Alisa now teaches music to children and performs regularly with Sarah in their band, Child of the Mountain 🎶💫

The monolina is an instrument with 34 strings that creates an incredible drone-like effect. Ours are made by a German company with ties to the Bay— We Play Well Together.
Harmonics make the monolina so special. Even though most of the notes are the same, the higher overtones start to interfere with one another, creating a hypnotic variance in the sound.
At Grace, Simona Marie Asinovski, one of the co-founders of Sound Meditation Presents plays the monolina on the left, with Alisa Rose on vocals and monolina on the right. Tim DeCillis on vibraphone behind us!
