As 2025 draws to a close, I thought I'd take a moment to say how incredibly grateful I am that my film 'DUCKS' has had the chance to be screened all over the world. From it's world premiere at @pictoplasma in May, it has gone on to have a further 21 official selections, 1 honourable mention and even managed to win 3 awards! This was an entirely self-initiated, self-funded production and my first time navigating the wild waters of the festival circuit. Massive thanks to ALL of the festivals, who not only watched this weird thing that @megalithicsound and I cooked up together, but STILL decided to share it with their audiences! I have attended as many festivals as work, family commitments and my limited budget would allow. Met some truly incredible people, laughed until I hurt and generally had a fantastic time. Alongside this, I have also received some wonderful feedback. I had no clue if ANYONE would programme DUCKS into their line-up, so to not only get selected but also win awards (especially those voted by kids!) has been truly astonishing. Even though it's the end of the year, there are more screenings to come in 2026 and then once it has run its course, I will finally release the film online and (eventually) shut up about it! What an incredible experience. And yes, I am currently working on my next short... I apologise in advance! omg it's 2026!? My 2025 was VERY dominated by 'DUCKS' but when I wasn't jet-setting to film festivals, I also got to work on a tonne of fun stuff! THIS is a an excitable, candy hungry Piñata monster I created, along with a whole host of artwork, for a new kids' card game called 'Bo Bo Bon', available soon from from the brilliant @ravensburgerglobal . I'll share some more of my 2025 work when I'm able to, along with details of some talks I'll be giving, my NEW animated short film and (eventually!) an online release date for 'DUCKS'. I've given a few talks recently and I keep making behind the scenes/process videos, only to cut them due to time 🥲.
