Got the opportunity to went for a ride along in @matt.collyer . machine this past weekend and it was truly special. Here is a quick synopsis of the car. The Lotus Emira V6 Manual might be one of the last REAL driver’s cars ever made.No fake engine sounds. No numb electric steering. No oversized luxury boat feeling. Just pure connection between car and driver. 400HP from a supercharged 3.5L Toyota-sourced V6. 6-speed manual. Mid-engine. Rear-wheel drive. Hydraulic steering. Limited-slip diff.0-100 km/h in about 4.3 seconds and a top speed near 290 km/h. Yet somehow… the numbers don’t even explain the experience. The craziest part? Lotus used hydraulic steering in a world where almost every modern sports car went electric steering. That means you actually FEEL the road through your hands, every corner, every bump, every ounce of grip. It feels alive. Then there’s the exposed metal shifter linkage inside the cabin… one of the coolest details in any modern car. Every shift feels mechanical, raw, and intentional like an old-school race car.
