The Capiz Saw Earrings are probably my favorite from the Chimera collection and these are particularly special ⚙️
The Chimera collection came to life as I was working on my Europa textiles. I was gifted these beautiful, thin, semitransparent disks by designer @zimteemo . They once belonged to a Capiz oyster, which are also called Windowpane oysters because of their use as natural glass substitutes in the Philippines.
But what makes these shells so special is that they were submerged in a blueberry natural dye bath that my friend and fellow designer @nicklinson was brewing for their own collection. It was all experimental & their dark blue color only showed up in the natural cracks of the shell.
That’s why my pieces are made to order; each shell and piece has a story behind its making. And I love to send them off to their new owner 🖤

New Orleans reminds us of the slow moments, a contrast to our life now in New York City.
It reminds us of falling in love between trips to bars, dancing in the streets, the glow under city lights.
So when we visited back home for our engagement party, we knew we wanted to capture those moments tucked between too many cocktails and late night conversations that got us here.
And to think this shoot wasn’t supposed to happen… Thankful for all the friends & family who celebrated our joy with us, who made that weekend so wonderful, and reminded us of the beauty and love we have. Here are just a few of our favorite moments from our engagement shoot.

If a dress were a shell, you would be the pearl.
The NAIAD slip from the EUROPA 2024 collection emphasizes this luxury with seduction, showcasing an open back and bias cut design.
Cochineal tainted with iron blends together on this light weight silk in a powerful, royal, soft purple.
The delicate tentapods hidden in the dress emerge along her back, haunting the viewer before the details are lost in movement.
Cascading pearl necklaces straddles her neck with a yoni cowry shell altered with silver & tin. Do you crave her seduction? Do you taste her salt…

Kyler wears the Bubble Club dress from the ‘EUROPA 2024 Club Couture Collection.’
Bound, boiled, and bubbled. Recycled polyester is brought to life with intricately bound organic shapes alchemizing a unique, bouncy elasticity into the fabric.
The resulting textile effortlessly hugs the wearer’s curves, retracting and bubbling like soap suds. No two garments are alike with this intricate binding technique.
The technique also appears as a crown on her head, with silver faux sand dollar clips. Faux sand dollars and starfish adorn her upcycled vintage clutch, protecting her deep sea spells and secrets. A chimera of shell and metal hangs from her neck, completed with custom MOON BUG solder jewelry.

In honor of @kindsofkindnessfilm premiering across theaters in the US, I thought I’d share some of the behind the scenes construction of the incredible @krystalchambersofficial in her stunning custom couture dress worn at the Cannes Film Festival 🎬
I’ve never been to France, but this gorgeous, naturally dyed charmeuse silk garment made its way to Cannes to adorn the talented ‘Kind of Kindness’ actress 🎞️
This one-of-a-kind red carpet dress used madder root dye which flashed a variety of colors in various lighting. In direct sun, it reflected a near scarlet orange, in soft lighting a peachy pink! 🍊 🍑
Inspired by pomogrante flowers in her garden, the flower sleeve concealed hidden pockets for her necessities on the red carpet and sampling of the dye was taken before hand to ensure the color PERFECTLY suited her standout freckles, perfect complexion, and strawberry red hair 🌼
All together, it took 3 full weeks of work and a team of 3 total to finish the garment in time for the premiere. It was my most challenging and most rewarding project yet.
Swipe to step into the experience and view the sweet postcard all the way from France 🇫🇷
Materials: Charmeuse Silk, Cotton Twill, Madder Root Dye, golden grommets, recycled steel corset boning

Walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival has been an absolute dream come true, a million hugs to everyone who helped get me here!
I just really want to give a special thanks and brag on my dear friend and incredibly talented designer Anaïs Colette! I had such little notice that I would be attending Cannes. Not only did she manage this fully custom look from the sketches to the carpet in a matter of weeks, she put painstaking detail into every aspect of this dress. She uses natural fibers and materials, so she HAND DYED this buttery soft silk charmeuse using madder root, also starting with sample batches using different techniques to determine what would be most flattering with my complexion. And the best part? IT HAS POCKETS!! It’s a Cannes rule that no bags are allowed on the red carpet, so she sewed hidden pockets into the sleeves on my dress to hold my phone, festival badge, business cards, lipstick, etc.
Can we get a standing ovation for this incredibly talented woman, the baddest bitch, @anaisbyanaiscolette
Never would I have thought I’d be here
But when you start to speak to the universe, it listens.
I’ve been secretly working on a custom couture gown for the muse & actress @krystalchambersofficial for her red carpet debut at @festivaldecannes in @kindsofkindnessfilm .
With only three weeks, I challenged myself to create a naturally dyed dress in a gorgeous charmeuse silk that felt like heaven to touch.
It has been to date my most challenging design yet- working with new materials, tight timelines, heavy hand stitching, and bias cutting.
Despite the sleepless nights and over 12 hours of hand stitching, the outcome was well worth it.
Full images to come but until then, join in the journey of dressmaking with me and congratulate Krystal in this huge step in her career! I can’t wait to see you shine on the red carpet ✨

Sometimes, I don't take moments to honor things. Time and work escape me, fleeting as just a memory that has passed.
Creating this look book after the completion of the collection was a way to honor all the energy I put into Europa.
Inspired by the touch and feel sensory books I grew up with as a kid- bits and pieces of fabric, sketches, imagery in play are clipped into a fully touchable display of time and action.
I’m proud of my Europa collection, how each model embodied their garment, hair and make up accentuating every detail of themselves, forever photographed during the fast paced rhythm of that day.
Honor your work. Honor your time. Honor yourself.
Coming up, let’s dive more into Europa and her matriarchal looks.
