I’m excited to share some footage of a project that I’ve been part of, working alongside multiple filmmakers to honor the legacy of @efe.dayo . This precious and meaningful work is led by the incredible @ase_adiawhiteaker , with the talented artist @thekwesiasante delivering a stunning performance. “The Road to Ose Tura” is a movement interpretation of a coded communication ritual called “Ose” from the African spiritual tradition Ifa, originating in Yorubaland (specifically Nigeria). It uses the literary corpus of Yoruba culture, compiled into Universes known as “Odu,” to explore these realms live.
